Claims

In a power steering device that operates a steering wheel by guiding hydraulic oil discharged from an oil pump driven by an engine to a power cylinder via an oil passage switching valve, a high-pressure oil passage connects the oil pump and the oil passage switching valve. A solenoid that moves the spool in the opening direction via a rod when the vehicle speed exceeds a certain level is installed in the middle of the branch oil passage extending from the oil passage switching valve to the reaction force pistons on both sides of the oil passage switching valve, and the same spool is biased in the closing direction. A pressure control valve is installed to maintain the reaction force of the hydraulic oil toward the reaction force piston at a substantially constant pressure, and the pressure on the inlet and outlet side of the pressure control valve is interposed. A power steering device characterized in that a chamber is connected to a low-pressure oil passage connecting the oil passage switching valve and a tank through an oil hole provided in a spool.
