Abstract

PURPOSE:To loading and unloading a recording medium without touching it by a hand by providing an upward/downward moving means which unloads the recording medium from a turntable associatively with the opening operation of a front cover and a forward/backward moving means which supports and moves the recording medium to a drawing-out position. CONSTITUTION:When the front cover 5 is opened by 90 deg., sliding plates 6a and 6b are drawn out to the front side associatively with the opening operation. At this time, projection parts 12 of guide plates 11a and 11b fall off the sliding plates 6a and 6b and are pressed up by upper ends of the sliding plates 6a and 6b, so that the guide plates 11a and 11b move up. At the same time, mounting plates 14a and 14b also move up by said movement and the center hole 21 of the recording medium 2 falls off the turntable 17. When a coupling member 16 is drawn out of an opening part in said state, a guide roll 13 rolls in a guide groove 15 and the mounting plates 14a and 14b are drawn out to the drawing- out positions through the opening part while mounting the recording medium 2. The recording medium when loaded is handled in the opposite operation.

Conventionally, information is recorded by irradiating the surface of a rotating disk-shaped recording medium with a light beam that is modulated according to the information and utilizing changes in physical properties caused by the energy. Information recording and reproducing apparatuses have been developed that reproduce information by scanning and detecting optical changes in reflected light (transmitted light). In this type of apparatus, the diameter of the light beam during recording is focused to a spot of approximately 1 micrometer. Therefore, high-density recording is possible, and information equivalent to about 1000 sheets of A4 paper can be recorded on a recording medium surface with a diameter of 300 mm. Furthermore, since the recording/reproducing speed is generally linearly proportional to the rotational speed of the recording medium, the rotational speed of the recording medium is often set to 2000 rpm or more.

In order to fully exhibit these characteristics, it is necessary to accurately focus the light beam at a predetermined position on the surface of the recording medium. However, since the objective lens used to focus the light beam onto the surface of the recording medium has a large numerical aperture, the depth of focus is shallow, and it is difficult to compensate for changes in the distance between the objective lens and the recording medium caused by warping of the recording medium. You will need a means to
A method is used in which the position of the objective lens is controlled by detecting changes in the shape of reflected light due to defocus and exciting a voice coil.

In addition, in order to correctly scan the signal track on the surface of the recording medium, the light beam is reflected by a rotatable mirror and then guided to the recording medium. The misalignment is corrected by rotating the mirror. At this time, it is desirable that the amount of correction be as small as possible in order to obtain responsiveness and reliability of the control mechanism. For conventional video discs, The center hole of the recording medium is fitted into the convex portion of the turntable, and the recording medium is held under pressure between the turntable and the pressure plate. For this reason, there is no gap (backlash) between the center hole of the recording medium and the convex portion of the turntable. ), but since video disc recording media are lightweight, vibrations are unlikely to occur even when rotated eccentrically. In addition, in this type of device, the reflected light of the light beam irradiated on the recording medium Since the signal is detected, the tracking signal is also S/S on video discs with strong reflected light.
N is good and eccentricity due to some gap (backlash) can be followed.

On the other hand, magneto-optical disks in particular are generally heavy (approximately 90 lbs.

Furthermore, since such recording media are made by depositing a ferromagnetic thin film on a substrate such as glass, they can be damaged if subjected to shocks during attachment/detachment or storage, or if handled roughly.
It may crack and break due to centrifugal force during rotation, causing fragments to scatter. Furthermore, when a recording medium with a diameter of 300 mm is destroyed at 2000 flails, the speed of the fragments is 10

Therefore, when replacing such a recording medium as necessary, it is important to avoid unnecessary shock when installing and removing it, and to avoid eccentricity as much as possible by making sure that the convex part of the turntable and the center hole of the recording medium are perfectly aligned. The recording medium may be removed violently.

According to this embodiment, the operator does not touch the recording medium 2 until the recording medium 2 is removed from the turntable 17 and pulled out of the apparatus, or conversely until it is returned from the pulled-out position to the mounting position on the turntable 17. Since the recording medium 2 is handled only at the immediate pull-out position without touching it, shocks and rough handling to the recording medium 2 can be prevented as much as possible, and the work of attaching and detaching the recording medium can be done with less individual differences. However, it can be easily attached and detached.
