流側に位置し前記磁気記録媒体に記録された信号を消去
する消去ヘッドとを有する磁気記録再生装置において、
前記磁気記録媒体の駆動方向に対して前記消去ヘッドよ
り上流側に位置し記録時に前記磁気記録媒体の記録状態
の有無を検出する検出ヘッドと、この検出ヘッドの出力
に基づいて前記消去ヘッドへの印加電圧を制御する手段
