Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform processing corresponding to how much a user is skilled and to save the charge for a shortened communication circuit whose utilization time is shortened according to the skillfullness by providing a guidance simplifying code. CONSTITUTION:When a secret number is inputted at a terminal side together with an added code for simplifying guidance, an electronic computer side detects the secret number and the code for simplifying the guidance to output simplified guidance. A commodity code is inputted on the terminal side and the electronic computer side outputs stock information on the commodity by a voice on the basis of the commodity code. The simplified guide, therefore, eliminates the need for voice output for confirmation from the electronic computer side to an input from the terminal side and also eliminates the need for reconfirmation on the terminal side, so processing steps by the simplified guidance is much less than processing step based upon unskilled users.

Conventionally, computer-based voice response systems output voice from a computer, etc. to a telephone, etc. connected via a communication line, and from the telephone side, the voice response is transmitted by the push button of a push-button power supply machine, or by the dial telephone. If available, a push button coupler is connected, data is input into a computer using the push button, and guidance corresponding to the data is output from the computer. For example, in a voice response system for checking stock of products, the stock is checked according to the flow shown in FIG. That is, (1) First, the user of the system makes a call to the telephone line connected to the computer.

Conventionally, the content of this voice guidance has been fixed for electronic computer systems, and it has been difficult for experienced users to use it. Both users and amateur users have to perform the same operations. Therefore, this operation is usually designed to suit an amateur's level so that even an amateur can use it, and therefore, there is a drawback that a person skilled in the operation cannot perform the process smoothly. Also, as a result, the usage time of the telephone line becomes longer than necessary, but the system is fixed and it is not possible to shorten the usage time and save line charges.

According to the present invention, in a system configured as shown in FIG. 2, a code is added to simplify the guidance when inputting a recitation number and inputted from the terminal side. FIG. 3 shows a part of the processing procedure in that case. The computer side detects the recitation number and the code for simplifying the guidance from the terminal side, and if the code is present, a simplified guidance is output as shown in Figure 3, and if the code is not present, it outputs the simplified guidance. In this case, normal guidance is output as shown in FIG. 1 as a conventional example. When there is a simple guidance, the terminal side inputs the product code, and the computer side outputs product inventory information by voice according to the product code.

If you compare the voice response based on such simplified guidance with the conventional voice response based on the standard for all amateur users shown in Figure 1, it is clear that 1. With simple type guidance, input from the terminal In contrast, since there is no need to perform voice output from the computer side for confirmation and then perform reconfirmation operations on the terminal side, processing steps using simplified guidance have become the standard for all amateur users. An example of inputting a PIN number from the terminal side is shown in 1. Figure 4 shows this. For example, recite code t1
234, the open code indicates the end of data input, and the figure is a code to simplify the guidance. In order to output normal guidance, the recitation number must be entered from the terminal side as shown in the fourth position. Then, in order to output a simplified guidance, a recitation number is input from the terminal side as shown in Figure 4 (I3) of Fim4.

Furthermore, the present invention can be applied even if the terminal side is a terminal with a buffer, for example, a data telephone. In that case, the user should input all the password numbers, product codes, etc. into the data telephone in advance, and after connecting the line, input all the specifications for batch data transmission and send the accumulated data all at once. good.

At this time, there is no need for the computer to provide confirmation guidance for entering the password number, product code, etc.; it is sufficient to immediately send voice guidance for the desired information.

[Effects of the Invention] As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, by providing a guidance simplification code in a voice response system, it is possible to perform processing according to the skill level of the user. This can be done smoothly, and the time required to use the communication line can be shortened depending on the level of skill, so the cost of the communication line can be saved by using an expert.
