にトナーを転写する。このトナーは定着器7により記録
紙6に定着される。一方、感光ドラム1は荷電消去用帯
電器8、クリーナ9により元の状態に戻る。このクリー
ナ9にはブレードやファーブラシなどが用いられる。次
に作用について説明する。

グが生ずる。これが感光体の早期劣化の主要因となる。
しかし、さらに詳細に検討すると、トナーが付着してい
る部分は摩擦が少なく劣化も少ないことがわかつた。そ
れは転写効率が100%となることは転写コロナ法では
あり得ないので、印字部には必ず残留トナーを生ずる。
そしてこの残留トナーが潤滑剤として働くため、印字部
ではクリーナとの摩擦は少ないが、残留トナーのない非
印字部では摩擦による傷やトナーのフイルミングが生じ
やすい。複写機では使用方法や被複写物が様々であるた
め、上記の摩擦の生ずる部分がある所に集中することは
なかつたが、レーザ3等を用いた電子写真記録装置では
、文字のサイズも間隔も一定であるため、印字部、非印
字部が固定される。従つて、非印字部はすぐに摩擦によ
る傷やトナーのフイルミングが起こり、記録紙6に筋状
の汚れを生ずるという欠点があつた。この発明は、上記
の欠点を除去するためになされたもので、ある一定回数
の記録毎に感光ドラムを軸方向に移動させ、非印字部が
一箇所に集中しないようにしたものである。

ドラムにHe−Neレーザにより書込み、一成分系磁性
トナーで現像し、ブレードによりクリーニングを行うレ
ーザプリンタにより実験を行つたところ、従来の方法で
はB4のプリンタ用紙1000〜2000枚で、非印字
部に相当したところにトナーの付着が認められた。
