Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a buff material by arranging a fabric on the lower surface of a member for forming a coated layer of an abrasive material having on its upper surface a mesh disc through which a liquid abrasive is coated onto the fabric, and by compressing and deforming a film-like die disc which is therefore impregnated with the liquid abrasive under pressure. CONSTITUTION:A rubber or the like resilient material film like die disc (c) is superposed and pasted onto the lower surface of a sheet-like mesh disc (a) having a mesh size allowing abrasive particles to pass therethrough, so that a member N coated with an abrasive layer is formed. Further, In a condition that the member N is superposed, a liquid abrasive is coated on the upper surface of the sheet-like mesh disc (a) with the use of a spatula, a roll or the like, and therefore, passes through the mesh disc (a) onto a fabric 1, while, since the coating pressure is applied to the film-like die disc (a) which is therefore compressed and flattened, the liquid abrasive is forced to enter the fabric 1 so that an abrasive coated layer 2 is formed. After the forming, the thus obtained member is suitably dried for forming a buff material.

Conventionally, this type of puff material is made by passing a cloth-like cloth material through a liquid abrasive material (so-called smearing) to form an abrasive coating layer on the entire cloth material, and then applying this layer. The puff material was formed by cutting it into a rough circle. However, with this type of material, the abrasive material is not applied to the entire cloth-like material, and the abrasive material is also applied to the cut part when the puff material is cut and to the central part of the puff material that is not engaged in any abrasive work. It is not foolish to use the abrasive material, which is extremely wasteful because the abrasive material is applied, but it is necessary to match the cutting at the time of forming the puff material described above with the required number of puff materials before forming the puff. Since two cuttings are required, one for finishing cutting, and both cuttings cut the abrasive material forming layer, the disadvantage is that the cutting edge is extremely susceptible to damage.

Furthermore, in the conventional method as described above, the abrasive coating layer is formed all at once on an extremely large amount of cloth material, so it is completely inappropriate for 7 stems produced in small quantities. It was done. In other words, there are various types of abrasives depending on the size of the particles, and therefore, with the above method, in order to make the particles of the abrasive layer that has been formed so far different, it is necessary to Replacement of the liquid abrasive contained in the liquid abrasive, cleaning of the abrasive material storage tank and cloth feeding rollers, etc. involves considerable complexity, and in the end, it is said that it is almost impossible to use it for small-scale production. The present invention is characterized in that it attempts to eliminate the problems that occurred in the conventional method as described above, and below, details of an embodiment of the uninvented method shown in the drawings will be described. Explain.

The required number of pieces of the same material A are concentrically superimposed and sewn at the center, and then cut into a circular shape along the outer periphery of the abrasive coating layer 2 and attached to the center hole. The puff is completed by performing finishing operations such as perforation. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the cloth material 1 is made into a dodecagonal shape in order to minimize the cut-off portion during the above-mentioned finishing process, and is not particularly meaningful. For example, any shape is acceptable, even if it is circular, square, or any other irregular shape, as long as it has the area necessary for forming the puff material.

In Fig. 2, M is the base for setting the cloth material 1, and N is the base for setting the cloth material 1.
is an abrasive coating layer forming body positioned above the base M so as to be able to approach and separate from the base M, and is a sheet-like mesh board having a mesh size that allows abrasive particles to pass through. A film-like mold plate C made of an elastic material such as rubber and having a cut-out space bl shaped in the shape of the donut-shaped abrasive material coating layer 2 described above is polymerized and adhered to the lower surface of the plate a. The size of the mesh in the mesh plate a is set depending on the size of the particles of the abrasive used, but is usually about 60 to 100 mesh. In addition, the mold plate C normally has a wall thickness of about 300 to 600 microns, and when a predetermined pressure, which will be described later, is applied, the wall thickness is reduced to about 3i. It is made of an elastic material such as rubber that has a certain degree of elasticity.

FIG. 3 shows that on the upper surface of the cloth material 1 set on the base M,
The above abrasive coating layer forming body Nt- shows a polymerized state,
In this state, liquid abrasive material is applied to the upper surface of the sheet-like mesh board a using a spatula, roller, or the like. Depending on this, the liquid abrasive material passes through the mesh board a and onto the cloth material 1 from the part where the punching space is formed in the film-like template C in the mesh board a. At this time, the application pressure (approximately 6
0 edge/-) is added to the film-like mold board C, so the core mold board C
is compressed and flattened as shown in FIG.
Due to the compression and flattening of the mold C, the abrasive material is pushed into the cloth material 1, and therefore, the donut-shaped abrasive coating/ii2 formed on the cloth material 1 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 5 is ,
As shown in FIG. 5, it is formed not only on the surface of the cloth material 1 but also in a state in which it is permeated into the inside of the cloth material 1.

The liquid abrasive used in the method of the present invention is a particulate abrasive dissolved in water and oil. Furthermore, the thickness of the mold plate C mentioned above depends on the thickness of the punching hole. Since the amount of liquid abrasive contained in the chamber (which affects the thickness of the applied layer) is determined, the thickness should be set based on the usage of the puff. Furthermore, the above-mentioned application process using a spatula, etc. is performed twice, and the first time is by applying it lightly to fill the abrasive material into the empty space in the mold C, and then If the mold plate C is then deformed by applying forceful pressure, the above-mentioned effect can be achieved even more effectively. Non-invention may be implemented in this way.

The method of the present invention comprises a film-like mold plate CF made of an elastic material such as rubber, which has a donut-shaped punching cavity BT on the lower surface of a sheet-like mesh plate A having a mesh size that allows the abrasive particles to pass through.
Using an abrasive coating layer forming body N formed by polymerization and adhesion, placing the cloth material 11 on the lower surface of the forming body N, and applying a liquid abrasive under strong pressure from the upper surface of the mesh plate a by pressing with a spatula or the like. , a liquid abrasive is applied in a donut shape on the upper surface of the cloth material 1, and the film-like mold cf is compressed and deformed by the compressive force based on the spatula pressing, etc., and the liquid abrasive filled in the blank space of this is compressed and deformed. A puff material having a donut-shaped abrasive coating layer 2 formed on the surface thereof is obtained by press-fitting and infiltrating the abrasive material into the cloth material 1, and then subjecting it to an appropriate drying treatment. This paper relates to a method for manufacturing cloth material.

According to the above-mentioned method of the present invention, a manufacturing method is adopted in which the abrasive coating layer is formed on each puff material in a donut shape, so that the abrasive coating layer is not formed on the entire surface as in the conventional method. The above-mentioned problems of waste of abrasive materials and impossibility of small-scale production that occur when puff materials are formed using cloth-like cloth materials are completely eliminated. Rather, the obtained puff material A is one in which the cloth material 1 itself has been cut into the desired shape in advance as shown in FIG. , the problem of damage to the cutting blade caused by the rough cutting from the cloth material that involves cutting the abrasive coated layer and the double cutting of the finish after polymerization, which occurred in the above conventional method, is halved. It will be done.

Furthermore, the method of the present invention compresses and deforms the film-like template C by using pressure such as pressing with a spatula when applying the liquid abrasive, thereby causing the liquid abrasive to penetrate into the cloth material 1 by press-fitting. Since the abrasive coating layer 2 is bonded to the cloth material 1, the abrasive coating layer 2 is bonded to the fabric material 1, and there is no problem such as peeling off of the coating layer 2 during the polishing process. Not only this, but also the abrasive material is present at the peripheral edge line of (), which is the most important part for polishing work.
