Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the direct detection of the clogging state of an air filter as well as a proper notification of the situation by providing a pressure-sensitive resistor in a baggy form on the down-wind side of the air filter. CONSTITUTION:A blinding detector 5 is provided on the down-wind side of a filter 2, in which electrodes 7a and 7b are buried in the periphery of a ringed insulator 6, a pressure-sensitive resistor 8 of a baggy form is covered on the outside of the electrodes 7a and 7b, and the pressure-sensitive resistor and the electrodes are fixed by a band 9 of an insulator. When the amount of air passing through the air filter 2 is abundant, the pressure-sensitive resistor 8 is expanded like an air balloon, the chains of carbon inside are roughened, and the value of electric resistance is increased. On the contrary, when clogging occurs in the filter 2 and the amount of air passing is decreased, the air balloon is deflated, the chains of the carbon becomes densed, and the value of electric resistance is reduced, thus performing the action of an air amount sensor.

Conventional air filter clogging detectors for air conditioners integrate the operating time of the blower built into the air conditioner, and when a predetermined cumulative operating time is reached, an indication is displayed on the front panel of the air conditioner using a light emitting diode, etc. are doing. Predict the clogging of the air filter based on the actual operating time of the blower, and
” is a way to indicate a blockage. Recently, many air conditioners are controlled by microcomputers, and the method of accumulating the operating time of the blower is to count the frequency of the commercial power supply that is energizing the blower, and when it reaches 100 hours, for example, a clogging indicator will be emitted. I am trying to turn on the diode. Since this conventional clogging detector uses the cumulative operation time of the blower, it does not indicate the actual state of filter clogging. In addition to the drawback that even if the air is operated with relatively clean air and there is no clogging, the 1) clogging status will be displayed, and even if there is a lot of dust and the air is clogged, the 1) clogging status will be displayed until the set time has elapsed. There was a drawback that the operation efficiency of the air conditioner deteriorated due to not displaying the information. In addition, it is controlled by a microcomputer.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. 2 is an air filter attached to the unit 1, 3 is a heat exchanger, and 4 is a fan for blowing air. As the fan 4 rotates, air passes through the air filter 2, passes through the heat exchanger 1, and is discharged from the lower front of the unit 1. Reference numeral 5 denotes a clogging detector, which is disposed downstream of the filter 2 and fixed to the unit 1. As shown in FIG. 2, the clogging detector 5 has a structure in which electrodes 7a and 7b are embedded in the outer periphery of a ring-shaped insulating material 6, and a bag-shaped pressure-sensitive resistor 8 is covered on the outside of the electrodes 7a and 7b. A band 9 formed of an insulating material is provided, and a pressure sensitive resistor and electrodes 7a and 7b are provided.
to be fixed. The ring-shaped insulating material 6 is a part of the unit 1 and is fixed on the lee side of the filter 2 so that the NB is in the direction of the wind. 10 is a lead wire for taking out electrical signals from the electrodes 7a and 7b. To explain the operation of this embodiment configured as above, the pressure sensitive resistor 8 is made of a stretchable rubber material and is formed by dispersing carbon in the rubber material. When the volume of air passing through the air filter 2 is large and the wind pressure is high, the bag-shaped pressure-sensitive resistor 8 swells like a balloon, and the chains of carbon dispersed inside become coarser, increasing the electrical resistance value. do. Conversely, when the air filter 2 becomes clogged and the air volume decreases, the wind pressure decreases, the balloon formed by the pressure-sensitive resistor 8 deflates, and the chains of carbon dispersed inside become denser, and the electrical resistance value becomes M. After a while, it acts as an airflow sensor. The relationship between air volume and electrical resistance value is shown in Figure 3. A in Figure 3,
B and C are characteristics associated with changes in the rotational speed of the blower fan 4, and A shows the case of strong wind operation, B shows weak wind operation, and C shows the case of gentle wind operation. Since the blower is operated so as to be able to change the strength or weakness as desired, the processing of the electric signal from the pressure sensitive resistor 8 will be described next. Electrical signals 10a, 1 of pressure sensitive resistor 8
01) are connected as shown in the circuit diagram of FIG. When the air filter 2 becomes clogged, the electrical resistance value of the pressure-sensitive resistor 8 increases during strong wind operation and decreases in the order of weak wind and light wind. When clogging occurs, the potential at 100 points shown in FIG. 4 rises, so when the potential rises above a set value in each operating state, a signal indicating that clogging has occurred can be output. The reference potential of the comparator 11 is set to the blower strength/weak operation selector switch (not shown).
Link with. When operating in strong winds, switch S1 is closed and the operating level is set to a high level. During operating in weak winds, SI is opened and switch S2 is closed to lower the operating level than in strong winds, and in light winds, both SI and S2 are opened. The operation level is lowered below the weak wind operation. When each operation level is exceeded, a signal is transmitted to the microcomputer 12, and the clogging indicator light 14 is turned on via the driver 13 to notify the user that there is a clogging condition. I can let you know.

[Effects of the Invention] According to the present invention, an air flow sensor made of a pressure-sensitive resistor formed into a bag shape is provided on the leeward side of an air filter for an air conditioner, and a change in the electrical resistance value of the pressure-sensitive resistor is detected to detect the change in the air filter. The system is configured so that the clogging status can be notified using an indicator light.
It has the effect of directly detecting the clogging condition of the air filter and providing appropriate notification. The pressure-sensitive resistor was constructed so that it could be covered by a pair of electrodes embedded in a ring-shaped insulated resistor, so it was removable and the pressure-sensitive resistor could be replaced even if the blower was changed.5. Furthermore, the operating level of the 1" blockage alarm is changed in conjunction with the blower's strength changeover switch, so fine adjustment can be made by changing the resistance value that sets the operating reference level, which is highly effective in terms of practicality and mass production. It is.
