【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は被覆アーク溶接棒内装箱の包装方法に関し、特
に外箱への収納を整然と行なわせる為に包装用熱収縮性
フィルムが内装箱の側面或は稜線からはみ出さない様に
加熱されたフィルムを両サイドへ正しく圧着することの
できる方法に関するものである。

被覆アーク溶接棒の包装は適宜次の様に内装及すエステ
ル製、ポリプロピレン製等の包装用熱収縮性フィルムを
巻装した後、シュリンクトンネル炉等の熱収縮処理装置
内を通すことにより該巻装フィルムの熱収縮を行なって
該内装箱胴体部をぴったりした巻装状態とし、両サイド
の仕上げとして、熱処理を受けて軟化状態にある該フィ
ルムの両耳部を内装箱の両サイドへ圧着ローラ等で挟圧
圧着して内装を完成する。圧着を終えた内装箱は、その
後数個ずつダンボール箱等の外装箱へつめ合わされて運
搬等の便宜をはかっている。ところが従来の上記被覆ア
ーク溶接棒内装箱の包装においては、該フィルム圧着を
終えた内装箱の両サイドにフィルムの張出しができて整
形状態が悪く、該内装箱を外装箱につめ合せる際にトラ
ブルを起こすことがあった。即ち第1図は従来の包装方
法を例示する概略説明図、第2図は該包装方法によって
得られる内装箱を例示する概略説明図であり第1図にお
いて点線で示されるのは被覆アーク溶接棒内装箱1であ
って、これに巻装された包装用熱収縮性フィルム2は後
で詳述する$3図のシュリンクトンネル炉6内において
熱収縮処理を受は内装箱1の胴部へぴったり被装された
状態になっている。一方、内装箱1の両サイドを覆うべ
き両耳部の包装用熱収縮性フィルム2はシュリンクトン
ネル炉6中の熱処理によって軟化しつつ融着するが両サ
イド側へ張り出すと共にその下端部は自重により2a、
2bの様に垂れ下っている。そして両サイド中へ張り出
した融着フィルム2は、圧着ローラフによって両サイド
面へ圧着され包装を完結するが、両耳部の垂れ下り2a
、2bは垂れ下ったままで圧着作業を行なうので第2図
に示す様な垂れ下り張出し2c、2dができてしまい、
特に内装箱1の下側へ張り出した部分は始末が悪く、外
装箱へつめ合せる際に切り落すか上へ持ち上げねばなら
ず、包装作業の生産性を著しく低下させるという欠陥が
あった。

ーラ7等を設け、前記垂れ下り2a、2bを自動的に持
ち上げ、張出し部と共に両サイドに圧着処理することが
できる様に構成している。即ち上記検知器4は例えば光
電管等を用いた検知器で、シュリンクトンネル6から被
覆アーク溶接棒内装箱1が到来するとこれを検知し、熱
風吹出管5及び圧着ローラ7の作動開始時期を指示する
様に構成されている。従って必要であればタイマーa構
を利用しても良いが、時間差を設けず検知と同時に熱風
の吹出し管5及び圧着ローラ7の作動を開始させても良
い。熱風吹出し管5は上方にむかって開口された複数の
熱風吹出しノズル8を有し、熱風供給管9から送られて
くる熱風を前記検知器4の指令によって該熱風吹出しノ
ズル8から上方へむかって吹出す様に構成されている。

知器4の位置を通過すると、検知器4は該内装箱1の到
来を検知して熱風吹出し管5及び圧着ローラ7への指動
指令を与え、熱風ノズル8からは上方へむけて熱風の噴
射を開始すると共に、圧着ローラ7は矢印方向(第4図
)への回転を開始する。その結果熱風吹出しノズル8上
に到達した該内装箱lの両耳部における前記垂れ下り2
a、2bは、第5図に示すごとく上方へむけて噴射され
る熱風吹出しノズル8からの熱風噴射を受けて内装箱1
の底面部よりも上方へ持ち上げられる。第5図において
この状態のまま該内装箱1はコンベア3上を進行して駆
動回転中の圧着ローラ7の間へ入り込んで該ローラによ
る圧着を受けるので、前記持ち上げられた垂れ下り2e
、2fはほぼその位置で両耳部の他の融着フィルムと共
に圧着され、更にコンベア3の前方へ進行して圧着を終
える。従って第6図藏示した該内装箱1の両耳部には従
来の方法で発生していた下部への張り出し2C92dは
全く生じず美麗な外観の内装箱が得られる。

ったフィルムを圧着位置へ持ち上げる手段及び持ち上げ
られたフィルムを内装箱の両サイドへ圧着する圧着手段
を設け、該検知手段と連動して該内装箱の左右両耳部に
加熱されて垂れ下がったフィルムを、圧着位置へ持ち上
げた後圧着することを特徴とする被覆アーク溶接棒内装
箱の包装方法。
