Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent impoliteness to a calling subscriber with composure afforded to a called subscriber and also to improve the working efficiency of the titled telephone exchange, by giving words to both the calling and called subscribers prior to an automatic camp-on operation. CONSTITUTION:When a call of a trunk caller 202 arrives at an exchange 203 and then an attendant board 205, a telephone operator answers the call and inquires the name of the caller 202, the number of an extension called subscriber 201, etc. In this case, if the subscriber 201 is busy, this state is informed to the caller 202 and makes him/her wait with the trunk line held. Then a connection line 211 is formed between an attendant board 205 and an aural mail device 206 to record the names of calling and called subscribers along with the number of the called subscriber. Then an automatic camp-on operation starts. When the subscriber 201 becomes idle, a connection line is formed between the caller 202 and an aural answering device 207 to deliver a set phrase to the caller 202. Furthermore the name of the caller 202 is informed to the subscriber 201. Then a connection line 214 is formed between the caller 202 and the subscriber 201 for communication between them.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Technical field to which the invention pertains) The present invention relates to an office telephone exchange, such as a private branch exchange, having a camp-on function.

One of the functions of the central branch relay board of a private branch exchange is a camp-on function, and what is usually called automatic camp-on is used.

To explain the operation of this automatic camp-on, if the extension called party who should be the other party of the call received from the central office line caller to the exchange is busy, the relay station with the camp-on function makes the central telephone party wait. Press the telephone key above to enter the automatic camp-on function.

Upon entering automatic camp-on, the exchange automatically monitors the called extension and, as soon as it becomes free, sends a ringing signal to the called extension and to the central caller. A ring tone is sent out, and when the extension called party answers, the two parties are connected.

In this automatic camp-on, a ring tone is suddenly sent to the central office line caller, while the called party is suddenly called, which is too bureaucratic for the central office line caller. This has the drawback of not only being disrespectful and causing discomfort, but also not giving the called party time to respond.

For this reason, semi-automatic rather than fully automatic camp-on functions are generally known. in this case,
While the automatic camp-on function directly sends a ring tone to the central line caller when the line is connected, semi-automatic camp-on calls the central telephone relay stand and sends a ring tone to the central telephone caller via the switchboard. In addition to informing the called party of the fact that the call is coming from an outside line, in some cases, the caller also informs the called party of the extension that the call is coming from an outside line, and then performs the connection operation.

To explain this in more detail using diagrams, the first
The figure is a connection pattern diagram showing the operation of a conventionally used camp-on function. From the central office line calling party 102 to the exchange 10
When a call arrives at 3, the call first arrives at a central office line relay stand (hereinafter referred to as "relay stand") 105. The connection path in this case is a connection as shown at 104. Here, the operator answers the central line calling party 102, asks for the number of the extension called party 101, and
Make the connection. The connection path in this case is indicated by 107. In this case, if the called party 101 on the extension line is busy, this is usually communicated to the central office line calling party 102, and the central office line is held in a hold state to make it wait. When extension called party 101 becomes available, central line calling party 10
After calling 2 again and having a conversation to the effect of connecting to the extension, and further calling the extension and informing that the extension will be connected, the central office line calling party 102 and the extension called party 101 are connected.

Although this connection method is polite, it increases the burden on the switchboard operator as he constantly monitors the busy indicator and waits for the called extension to become free, and it is inefficient and does not allow automatic camping. The labor-saving significance of the on function is lost.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, and when connecting a line using the camp-on operation, it notifies the calling party of the central office line that the caller will be connected to an extension line without going through a switchboard, and also informs the called party of the extension line that the caller will be connected to the extension line. By making it possible to convey information such as the fact that it is an outside line and the name of the person calling the local line, this makes automatic camp-on more human-friendly without sacrificing the labor-saving effect of automatic camp-on. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an office telephone exchange that can perform the following functions.

[Features of the Invention] One aspect of the present invention is a voice response device that generates a predetermined sentence;
Equipped within the exchange with a voicemail device that has the function of recording any text and transmitting it to any extension subscriber,
A text recorded by a switchboard operator or equivalent person (e.g., a master telephone operator in the case of a distributed relay system) before establishing a connection between a central line caller and an extension called party by a camp-on operation, such as [Mr. XX is calling Mr. OO. ” etc. from the voice mail device to the extension W.
At the same time, the caller is sent a message to the caller using a standard phrase when connecting the line, such as ``Sorry to have kept you waiting.''I'll connect you. '' etc. is generated by the voice response device, and this is sent to the central line caller, after which a connection is established between the caller and the called party.

As the voice response device 206, a random access memory (RAM) or a high-speed disk, etc., which stores a signal encoded so that the above-mentioned words can be heard from the beginning of the sentence, is suitable. The voice mail device 207 also allows a switchboard operator or someone equivalent to send arbitrary text, such as a text to connect an outside line or a text such as "Mr. O○ is calling Mr. XXX." It is configured so that the voice signal of these sentences can be sent to the extension called party 201.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, by using the present invention, it is possible to speak to both the central office line caller and the extension called party prior to automatic camp-on. The caller is not rude to the caller, and the extension called party can have ample time to respond, allowing for a calm conversation. Furthermore, this function allows the switchboard operator to step away from the connection operation, which eliminates the need to monitor busy displays and greatly contributes to improved efficiency.
