Abstract

PURPOSE:To elevate the durability and accuracy eliminating contact section such as variable resistor by irradiating light from a light source on a photoconductive elements aligned in a scale with a reflector stuck on a float to detect a liquid level. CONSTITUTION:A float 4 is provided in a measuring cylinder 1 which is suspended in a tank moves up and down in the measuring cylinder 1 with variation in the liquid level in the tank. Light from a light source 6 focuses on a reflector 5 on the top surface of the float 4 with a lens 7. Light focusing on the reflector 5 reflects horizontally and irradiates a light transmission element array plate 2. Then, passing through a light transmission element 3, the light irradiates an indicator 8 for display illumination of a scale. When the liquid level in the tank is yet to reach an appropriate value, the scale at a scale section (x) of the indicator 8 lights red for display. When it reaches the value, the scale at the scale section (y) of the indicator 8 lights green for display.

Traditionally, liquid level indicators that measure the amount of liquid in a tank convert the vertical movement of a float to detect the height of the liquid level into the oscillation of the slider of the Amamachi variable resistor, which detects the strength of the current. By this, the liquid amount is detected. Therefore, in the conventional liquid level indicator, the contact portion of the variable resistor is worn out, and there are problems with durability and accuracy.

Similarly, in the first embodiment of the liquid level indicator according to the present invention, by increasing the number of light transmission elements (3), the height of the float (4), that is, the ability to analyze the liquid level is improved. Further, since the first embodiment of the liquid level indicator according to the present invention does not include a wear body such as a variable resistor or an electronic circuit, there is a risk of failure. The second embodiment will be described in detail based on Figs. 4 and 5. In Figs. 4 and 5, (9) is a measuring cylinder made of an opaque material that absorbs light, and is will be established. The measuring tube (9) has integrally formed on its side surface a band-shaped light receiving element array -kl' (10) made of a transparent material for arranging the light receiving element αυ. Photodetector α
D is an evaporator, a phototransistor, etc., and is arranged in many rows in the shape of a scale on the light-receiving element arrangement plate 00). The float is installed inside the measuring tube (9) and moves up and down depending on the level of the liquid. Reflector (1
31 is attached, and the light t-float (12) from the light source (14) is reflected by the reflecting mirror αJ to the light-receiving element αD in the horizontal direction. A light source αa is disposed above the measuring tube (9), and the light emitted from the light source I is focused on a reflecting mirror α row by a lens α9. αe is an encoder, one side of which is connected to each light receiving element uIl, and the other side connected to the violet decoder an. The α barrel is a fully digital display of the liquid level, and is connected to the decoder 〇η. (Other controllers, such as the flFi alarm, are connected to the decoder aη.
