Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent papers from overlapping upon feeding of the papers due to elongation of a belt, by making a resiliently urged tension roller press-contact to the belt in the part between rollers. CONSTITUTION:A feed belt 24 is laid and wound around a drive roller 21, a driven roller 22 and a feed roller 23. When the drive roller 21 drives the other rollers and the belt in the direction of arrows, the uppermost paper fed out by the feed roller 23 is inserted between the feed belt 24 and an overlapped-feed preventing member 25, and is transferred due to the friction of the feed belt 24. If there would be occurred a trend that a plurality of papers are transferred together, simultaneouly, this trend is prevented by the overlapped-feed preventing device 25. The tension roller 26 is pulled in the direction of arrow by a spring 27, and therefore, is made into press-contact with the feed belt 24 to maintain the tension of this belt at a constant value. By changing the position of a lever 28 which holds one end of the spring 27, into one of positions (p, q, r), the press-contact force of the tension roller 26 may be suitably adjusted, thereby overlapped-feed may be surely prevented.

In electrostatic recording devices such as so-called electronic copying machines, a paper feeding method is used in which a large number of sheets of paper are stacked using a cassette or the like, loaded into a paper feeding section, and fed out one by one from the top. Normally, the paper is fed out by rotating a comb roller or the like that is pressed against the top surface of the stacked paper.
This alone may result in multiple sheets of paper being fed out in a pile. For this reason, there are various ways to prevent double feeding.
Although it has been put into practical use, as a model 17' that is suitable for high-speed conveyance, a rotating belt and a fixed member that press against the belt are provided in the paper feeding section, and the paper is passed between them to convey the second sheet. A method is adopted in which the following sheets of paper are stopped and only the topmost sheet is fed. The roller 3 is brought into pressure contact with the top layer of the stacked sheets 6 by the feed roller.

A feed belt 4 is stretched between the drive roller 1 and the driven roller 2, and is attached coaxially with the feed roller 3 and the driven roller 2 and rotates at the same time. 5 is a double feed prevention member, which is fixed so that it does not rotate.Feed belt 4
The surface of the double feed prevention member 50 is made of a surface material with a high friction coefficient such as rubber.

When the apparatus is started, each roller and belt rotate in the direction of the arrow, and the uppermost sheet of paper is sent out by the delivery roller and inserted between the belt 2 and the double-feed prevention member 50. The topmost sheet of paper a is conveyed by the frictional force of the belt and advances to the next process. Even if a second sheet of paper adheres to sheet a and is sent out, the fixed double-feed prevention member They will not be held back and sent to the next process with two sheets stacked on top of each other.

The most important point in the above-mentioned device is that the feed belt 2 is always in contact with the double-feed prevention member 5 with an appropriate pressure, and if the pressure is insufficient, the double-feed prevention member becomes ineffective. This results in two or more sheets of paper passing over each other. For this reason, the feed belt 2 always maintains appropriate tension.
must be maintained.

However, a feed belt made of an elastic material such as rubber has a tendency to stretch during initial use and long-term use, and its tension tends to decrease over time. In addition, the tension of the belt changes depending on the distance between the rollers tensioning the belt, variations in the rigidity of the belt, etc., so the above-mentioned device has the disadvantage that the anti-feeding effect is unstable and it is difficult to adjust it. was there.

The above object has been achieved by a paper feeding device for an electrostatic recording device in which a portion of the feeding belt of the paper feeding device as described above is biased by a spring, and a Tensilon roller driven by the belt button is pressed into contact with the feeding belt. Ta. The tensilon roller may be provided outside the loop of the feed belt and press against the inside of the loop, or it may be provided inside the loop and press against the outside of the loop. The spring that biases the tension roll may be of any shape, such as a coil spring.
Additionally, depending on the installation position, the tension of the compression spring (or tension spring may be used. Also, by moving the fulcrum of the spring to adjust the elongation of the belt, etc.), the tension of the spring can be varied, and the pressure contact force of the Tensilon roller can be varied. It is preferable that the paper feeding device according to the present invention is adjustable.
! When the belt is stretched by a tension roller pressed against the belt by the force of a spring, U
Since a constant tension level C must also be maintained, the pressure contact R between the feed belt and the double feed prevention function must always be maintained properly, and a reliable double feed prevention operation can be performed.
