PURPOSE:To enhance the silencing effect of a silencer and to facilitate assembling operation of the same, by forming a tail passage between the peripheral wall and partition plates disposed in the body of the siliencer in the manner that it is extended circumferentially of the siliencer body, and forming an exhaust-gas outlet port defined by one end part of the partition plate and an exhaust-gas discharging plate and extended tangentially of the tail passage. CONSTITUTION:In the body 1 of a silencer, an upper partition plate 2, an intermediate partition plate 3 and a lower partition plate 4 are welded to the inner surface of a peripheral wall 1a, so that the inner space of the silencer body 1 is divided into an upper chamber 5, an intermediate chamber 6 and a lower chamber 7. れた管路を消音器ボディの周壁面に沿わせて、前記ボデ
ィを巻くように長く形成すると共に、テール管路壁の一
部を前記ボディの壁で構成したものを、先に実願昭56
−121146号として提案し、従来のテール管路が短
いものに比べて消音効果がよく、かつテール管路が短い
ものと少なくとも同スペースで済み、汎用エンジンなど
にも支障なく装備できるようにした。
