Abstract

PURPOSE:To pattern easily the entire surface of a treating material having an intricate shape by forming a chemical film, etc. on an Al alloy then dipping the same into a paint bath tank suspended therein with a paint in a multiline shape or wave pattern thereby forming a woodgrain-like colored pattern thereon. CONSTITUTION:A chemical film, anodized film and colored oxidized film are formed by a conventional method on Al or an Al alloy. A paint is added on the surface of the water flowing in a fixed direction from one side in a bath tank and is suspended in a multiline shape or wave pattern. The Al or Al alloy formed thereon with the films is dipped in the paint bath tank so that the woodgrain-like colored pattern is struck thereon. An acrylic resin, etc. are used for the paint. The alloy is then pulled from the bath tank and the paint sticking loosely again thereon during the pulling is rinsed away, and after the surface is subjected to finish painting by an acrylic resin, etc., the surface is baked and dried. The colored pattern is thus formed without using any dye or pigment.

Conventionally, the method of applying a colored pattern on aluminum is to apply or print a resist film on the aluminum material according to the pattern, form a barrier type film through a first anodization treatment, remove the resist film, and then perform anodization. A method of generating a colored film through processing to reveal a pattern, i.e. pattern printing → primary anodizing treatment → (M hole) → resist (3) film removal → secondary anodizing treatment (electronic M coloring), or pattern printing →Chemical film treatment→Resist film removal→Chemical conversion treatment (generation of chemically colored film)
No. 95, JP-A-50-41735 or JP-A-50-
It is known from No. 4616. Similarly, as a method that requires a printing process for patterning, the desired pattern is further applied to the TFS coating film by screen printing or offset printing, and then the above-mentioned T P'S coating film and For patterning, ink was dried and baked at the same time.
The method of No. 1-21022 is known. However, with these methods, it is difficult to create patterns without using printing methods, and when patterns are created using printing methods, printing requires a lot of time and expense, which poses problems in terms of mass production or productivity. However, there are other methods that do not rely on printing methods to create patterns, which have the disadvantage that only a uniform pattern can be created and it is difficult to change a wide variety of patterns.

JP-A No. F$52-60244 is known as a method for electrolytic coloring, and JP-A No. IIfl (52-3535) is a method for producing patterns by electrolytic coloring after anodizing treatment and adjusting the barrier layer by electrolysis. Issue 1% Kaisho 5
No. 2-61139% JP 52-70'? No. 51 is known. However, the method of changing the thickness of the barrier layer and then forming a colored pattern by electrolytic coloring cannot be applied to shapes with complex shapes, and it is difficult to adjust the barrier layer, resulting in reduced productivity. There is a problem with this. On the other hand, the method of JP-A No. 52-60244 can be applied to shapes with complex shapes, but the pattern is an engraved pattern with short vertical stripes, similar to a straight-grained pattern. However, it is not close to natural straight grain.

To explain the patterned painting process, the first method is to pour paint from several places in a multi-line pattern from one side of a bathtub filled with flowing water. Stop the flow of water and the paint before it overflows into the overflow gutter provided on the opposite side of the mouth, and suspend the treated material vertically and soak it in the water to adhere the paint in the shape of the wood grain (7). As for the processing conditions, it is preferable that the material to be treated is dry and that it is treated in a vertically suspended tank, and the bathtub has a liquid surface width (tank width) that is 1/2 to 2/3 of the length of the material to be treated. It is preferable to use If the tank width is not sufficient, a method is adopted in which the flow rate of the paint is adjusted so that a thin, wood-grain-like line is created continuously depending on the dipping speed of the treated material.

Water is used as the liquid to suspend the paint, and adding a surfactant to it improves workability. Furthermore, when pulling up the treated material, the treated material must be in a wet state (8), and any paint that has loosely adhered (re-deposited) at that time can be easily removed by air agitation or the like in a washing tank. It is effective to add a small amount of surfactant to the washing tank.

Paints used for patterning include acrylic resins, such as modified acrylic lacquers (acrylic resin/nitrocellulose), alkyd resins, such as high solid lacquers (benzoic acid-modified alkyd resins/nitrocellulose), etc. By adding various pigments to these paints, various patterns and colors can be obtained. Please note that when applying paint while soaking the treated material, if the pattern breaks during the process, you will not be able to obtain a beautiful pattern.
In some cases, it is preferable to add a small amount of microfilm to reinforce the paint layer.

Based on a colored film such as bronze or gold color, various types of patterns can be changed by appropriately selecting the pigments to be included in the paint for the patterned paint. In addition, paint is added to the water surface flowing in a certain direction from one side of the bathtub, and the paint is carried by the force of the flowing water to form a predetermined wood grain pattern on the water surface, making it easy to create a stable desired pattern. A pattern form can be obtained. Furthermore, because the paint is attached to the treated material while it is floating on the water surface, it is not possible to obtain a uniformly colored pattern, but rather a colored pattern that is similar but not exactly the same is obtained using the present invention. %
This is one of the signs. Furthermore, after applying a colored pattern, a clear coating is applied as a surface finish, resulting in a coating film with excellent weather resistance and wear resistance.

Example 7 After anodizing and washing with water in the same manner as in Example 1, alternating current electrolysis was carried out at 15F for 2 minutes with the following electrolytic solution composition using carbon as a counter electrode, and electrolytically colored amber. He washed it with water and dried it. Next, on the water surface that is gently flowing in a certain direction, apply modified acrylic lacquer (acrylic resin/nitrocellulose) enamel (black) paint diluted with thinner to 11 seconds with an INS cup in the flowing direction. Pour the paint into 5 locations in a thin line, stop the flow of water and the paint just before it overflows, and slowly immerse the shape so that the paint adheres to the shape in a wood grain pattern. Next, this was pulled up, washed with water, air-dried, again subjected to AC electrolytic coloring at 187' for 3 minutes, washed with water, immersed in 98-thiosulfuric acid for 2 minutes to remove the wood grain pattern, washed with water and Washing with pure water (80°C x 10 minutes) was performed. Thereafter, the above-mentioned shape was immersed in an 8% aqueous solution of thermosetting acrylic resin electrodeposition paint to serve as an anode.
S304) was used as a counter electrode and subjected to DC electrolysis at 150V for 2 minutes.
Electrodeposition was carried out, and baking was carried out at 180° C. for 30 minutes to dry. In this way, fC and PJ are painted in a wood grain pattern.
A wood grain pattern was formed in which the T was light and the other parts were dark amber.
