Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

In a liquid crystal display device in which a plurality of display control electrodes are formed on opposing surfaces of a pair of substrates facing each other with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween, each display control electrode is formed in a plurality of layers with an insulating layer interposed therebetween. A liquid crystal display device characterized in that each of the lower layer electrodes is formed excluding a portion that overlaps with the upper layer electrode or a smaller portion thereof.
