Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a compact grindstone holder which permits grinding with high accuracy without breaking a grindstone by the constitution wherein a clamp holder for holding a grindstone clamp capable of extending the grindstone to a prescribed extent is slidably held in an outside cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A grindstone clamp 2 for holding a grindstone 1 used to grind a roll 5 is movably provided in a clamp holder 3 and a piston 11 is operated by the air pressure to be supplied to a cylinder part 8 to advance the clamp 2 and to release the lower part 12 of the clamp from the slope 7 of the holder 3. The grindstone 1 is further advanced to a prescribed extent by the air pressure supplied through an air supply path 15 and thereafter the air pressure is released from the part 8 and the clamp 2 is retreated by energizing a spring 6, thereby holding the grindstone 1. The holder 3 held slidably in a sliding cylinder 23 fixed on the inside surface of an outside cylinder 4 by means of a stopper fixture 24 is retreated, via piston 18, by the air pressure supplied to cylinder chambers 19, 20 provided in feed and exhaust ports 21, 22. The grinding by the grindstone 1 is thus controlled.

For example, when a steel plate is rolled by a predetermined amount in a hot rolling mill, the rolling portion of the roll is worn out and a step is formed between the center and end portions. If this level difference is eliminated, the rolls can be reused continuously, so the number of roll changes can be significantly reduced, which has a great advantage in improving productivity. For this reason, the present applicant has already proposed a roll grinding method (% Application No. 54-88802), a roll grinding device (Utility Application No. 56-28945), etc., but continued research led to the present invention. .

The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a grindstone holder that does not break the grindstone during grinding of rolling rolls, etc., and to achieve stable and high-precision grinding over a long period of time. The objective is to obtain a compact grinding wheel holder that can be installed in a small space.

The whetstone holder must firmly hold the whetstone and also have a pressure contact function to press the whetstone against the object to be ground.
Furthermore, if the whetstone becomes worn (・), a whetstone feeding function is required to replenish the wear, but conventionally known whetstone holders do not allow direct contact between the whetstone and the holder, and the whetstone slides inside the holder. Because of this method, the holder is prone to wear and rattling. If it rattles, high-precision grinding cannot be achieved.

Furthermore, when the whetstone is tilted as proposed in Japanese Patent Application No. 54-88802, it is necessary to move the whetstone back and forth in order to follow the curved surface of the roll. Sliding resistance is large, especially when the grinding wheel is pushed into the holder during oscillating grinding, and as the resistance increases, excessive force is applied to the grinding wheel, making it more likely to break. pressure contact force)
Since there is a difference of K±40%, there is a problem that the grinding efficiency varies and it becomes difficult to perform high precision grinding.

The present invention aims to provide a grindstone holder that solves all of the above-mentioned difficulties of conventional holders.
, a push-pull device provided at the rear of the outer cylinder for sliding this clamp holder, and a part that moves back and forth within the clamp holder along the slope provided at the front of the inner wall of this clamp holder to open and grip the grindstone. The grindstone holder includes a grindstone clamp, a push/pull device that moves the grindstone clamp back and forth, and a grindstone feeding device that feeds out a predetermined amount of the grindstone when the grindstone clamp releases the grindstone.

In the figure, 1 is a plate-shaped grindstone of a predetermined thickness, 2 is a grindstone clamp, 3 is a clamp holder, 4 is an outer cylinder, and 5 is a roll to be ground. The grindstone 1 is gripped by a grindstone clamp 2 slidably provided within a clamp holder 3. Grinding wheel clamp 2
The piston 11 is pushed into the holder 3 through the spring 6. At this time, the slope 7 provided on the inner surface of the holder 3 plays the role of holding the whetstone firmly by means of a wedge. -te,
The clamp 2 can slide back and forth along the inner wall of the holder 3. In this case, the piston 11 compresses the spring 6 or is forced back by the spring 6. When the piston 11 compresses the spring 6 by supplying air, the clamp 2 slides inside the holder 3 and opens the clamp 2.

The clamp 2 is opened by the lower clamp 12, which has a downwardly inclined portion, moving forward along the slope 7, moving downward under its own weight, and moving within the gap 14 of the engaging portion 13. It is obvious that the clamp can be constructed even if the slope 7 is provided in the opposite direction. When the clamp 2 is opened, the grindstone 1 becomes free from the clamp 2. Therefore, by supplying air at an appropriate pressure from the air supply port 15 through the air passage 16, the grindstone 1 can be moved forward. In order to ensure a predetermined length of grindstone delivery, a grindstone stopper (not shown) may be provided in advance in front of the grindstone 1 so as to be movable back and forth. In the figure, reference numeral 17 is a seal that prevents the supplied air from leaking from the grindstone and its surroundings. If water is supplied instead of air, this gasket 17 can be omitted.

After the grindstone 1 is fed out by a predetermined amount (1), the air supply from the air supply port 15 is stopped (and the air is exhausted from the air supply port 9), and the piston 11 is pushed back by the extension force of the screw 6. , the clamp 2 moves back and grips the grindstone 1.The clamp holder 3 is provided so as to slide inside the outer cylinder 4.A piston 18 is provided at the rear of the clamp holder 3, and the piston 18 and the outer cylinder 4 constitute two cylinder chambers 19 and 20, and constitute a push/pull device for the clamp holder 3.

The cylinder chamber 19 is used when pushing the clamp holder 3 forward, and the cylinder chamber 20 is used when pulling it back backwards. In the figure, 21 and 22 are respective supply/exhaust ports. The inner peripheral wall of the outer cylinder 4 is lined with a sliding cylinder 23 .

The grindstone holder of the present invention configured as described above fixes the outer cylinder 4 to the base, and allows the clamp 2 to be fixed at an appropriate grindstone payout length.
Thus, with the grindstone firmly gripped, air is supplied to the cylinder 19 to push the clamp holder 3 forward. At this time, the clamp holder 3 slides on the outer circle to press the grindstone 1 against the roll to be ground 5 and perform grinding.

During the above-mentioned oblique grinding, the grinding wheel is moved to follow the curved surface of the roll 5 to be ground. At this time, the air pressure in the cylinder chambers 19 and 20 is transferred to the accumulator and relief provided in the air supply source of the piping 21 and 22. The pressure is controlled by a valve to keep the pressure constant, and the clamp holder 3 is moved back and forth along the inner surface of the sliding tube 23 inside the outer tube 4.

The wear condition of the grinding wheel 1 is detected by an appropriate means, and when the wear limit is reached, K moves the clamp holder 3 back to a predetermined position as described above, temporarily stops grinding, and then moves the cylinder 8
Supply air to open the clamp 2, and open the air supply/exhaust port 15.
Air is sent through the gasket 17 to feed out the grindstone 1 by a predetermined amount. Then resume grinding.

With this ↓ Una Honsha F3JJK, the whetstone and part of the holder do not slide, so there is no wear due to the whetstone on the second part of the holder. Therefore, the whetstone is firmly fixed in the specified position (C). The grinding wheel does not rattle and can be moved smoothly over a predetermined distance within the outer cylinder, making it possible to perform high-precision grinding. For example, a push rod (
