Multiple interchangeable heads are mounted around an indexing table that can be rotated forward and backward around a main shaft fixed on the machine base, and any interchangeable head is indexed directly below the power unit in front and used in conjunction with each other. In an exchangeable multi-axis machine tool, inverted T-grooves are provided at multiple locations on the top surface of the interchangeable head on an arc starting from the center of the indexing table, and a clamp pin is attached to the bottom surface of the power unit corresponding to the inverted T-groove position using a plunger. The tip of the clamp pin protrudes as a flange that fits into the inverted T-groove, and the upper end of this clamp pin is applied with a spring to give it a constant downward tendency. A long and narrow wedge hole is provided, and a plate-shaped clamp wedge whose upper side is in contact with the slope is fitted into this wedge hole.By pushing one end of this clamp holder with a strong spring, the slope of the wedge hole is pushed up.
