Abstract

PURPOSE:To always select and receive an electric wave of a good receiving state without having the complicated switching of reception, by always measuring the receiving level by a measuring signal receiver and then switching the carrier frequency received by a signal receiver for communication according to the contents of the above-mentioned measurement of the signal level. CONSTITUTION:The transmission given from the 1st base station that transmits the 1st frequency as a carrier wave and the transmission from the 2nd base station that transmits the 2nd frequency as a carrier wave are switched and received by a measuring signal receiver 4. Then the signal showing the receiving level of each transmission is delivered, and the process of the output signal is stored 5. The receiving level to the carrier frequency which is under reception is detected to be lower than the receiving level to other carrier frequencies according to the contents of the storage device 5. In this case, the switching 7 is carried out to receive another frequency.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a receiving device for a mobile radio station. The original base station transmits information using the original frequency as a carrier wave frequency, and the second base station installed at a different location from the original base station transmits information using the second frequency as the carrier wave frequency. A mobile radio station within a range where it can transmit and receive both the transmission from the first base station and the transmission from the second base station receives the reception level of the first carrier frequency and the reception level of the second carrier frequency. A method is used in which the received output for the carrier frequency with the higher received level is used. Since both the first base station and the second base station generally transmit the same information, the mobile radio station can use the base station that provides the best reception. The simplest switching method is to always select the carrier frequency with the higher reception level for reception, but this method requires frequent switching within an area where the electric field level from both base stations is about the same. However, there was a drawback in that communication quality deteriorated due to noise generated by switching. In other words, the electric field level changes minutely in a complex manner due to various causes, so in an area where the electric field levels from both base stations are about the same, there will be many points where the electric field levels of both base stations intersect. This is because switching is performed every time a mobile radio station passes such a point.

This invention was made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks. A measurement receiver is separately provided, the measurement receiver constantly measures both reception levels, the measurement results are stored, and judgments are made based on the stored contents. It is an object of the present invention to provide a receiving device that can selectively receive radio waves with good reception conditions at all times without having to frequently switch reception by switching carrier frequencies received by a communication receiver.

FIG. 2 is a level diagram showing the relationship between the reception level at a mobile radio station and the position of the mobile radio station, in which the mobile radio station is assumed to move on a line connecting both base stations, and Pl is an orthogonal radio station.
It is assumed that the location of the base station, 几, indicates the rank of the second base station, and the mobile radio station moves on PIP2P3P4P5. Curve AG shows the reception level for transmission from the first base station, and curve FE shows the transmission level for transmission from the second base station.

Consider the case where the mobile radio station moves in the direction from P1 to P5, and assume that the communication receiver (3) initially receives transmission from base station O1. When the mobile radio station passes through P2P3P4, the storage device (5) records the reception level progress BCG and F.
CD' is memorized and at the 24th point, it is determined that the reception level from the second base station definitely fluctuates more than the reception level from the first base station, so the switching device (7) is activated. Curve ABCG%EDCF of FIG. 2 where the communications receiver (3) switches to receive transmissions from the second base station.
is represented by a simple curve, but in reality the reception level fluctuates within a small range due to various complicated causes, so in the reception level actually measured near point P3 in Figure 2, the point where both reception levels intersect is It appears at points other than 0, and only at 24 points can it be determined that the reception level of the transmission from the second base is definitely higher than that of the transmission from the first base. Similarly, when the mobile radio station moves from P5 to Po direction, P2
At this point, the carrier frequency received by the communication receiver (3) is switched. Therefore, if switching is performed frequently, a good reception condition can always be obtained.

In the above explanation, this invention has been explained on the premise of switching to two base stations, the tenth base station and the second base station. However, when the number of base stations is three or more, all of the base stations destined for the two base stations are switched. If this invention is implemented for each combination of
As a result, the base station with the highest reception level can be selected.
