In a forward/backward type traveling vehicle that can be operated by changing its posture between a forward posture and a backward posture, a pair of left and right elevator doors 34R, 34L are provided.
A door 29 having a control section 35 on one side thereof is provided between the vehicle body 7 and the vehicle body 7 so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis via a pivot portion 44, and between the door 29 and the vehicle body 7, the door 29 is in an open state. A restraining device 52 capable of maintaining the vehicle body 7 is provided. The engaging tool 53 includes a locking portion 59 that engages with the check member 54 when the door is open to restrict the natural closing operation of the door, and a check member that is formed continuously with the lock portion 59 and is connected to the check member 54 when the door is closed. 54 is in contact with the guide portion 57 for guiding the restraining member 54 to the locking portion 59 during door opening operation.
