Abstract

PURPOSE:To confirm the connection of telephone set at a subscriber line very easily and economically, by detecting a call signal current flowing through a capacitor of a telephone set bell circuit. CONSTITUTION:In activating a relay RG from a controller, when a telephone set is connected to a subscriber line 11, a call signal current flows through a capacitor of a bell circuit and this current is detected at a call signal detection circuit 10. Further, if no telephone set is connected, no call signal current flows, and then the presence/absence of the telephone set connection can be confirmed.

As shown in Fig. 1, the conventional telephone connection confirmation system in a telephone exchange connects a DC ammeter 12 to the subscriber line 11, and when a maintenance person operates the telephone key, the capacitor (not shown) of the telephone bell circuit is connected to the subscriber line 11. In this system, the maintenance personnel determined whether the telephone was connected or not by checking the deflection of the pointer of the DC ammeter 12 due to the light flowing through and the discharge current.

However, according to Jin's method, the determination of whether or not a telephone is connected based on the deflection of the pointer is based on the experience and intuition of the maintainer, and has the drawback that the criteria for judgment differs depending on the maintainer. In addition, it required human labor, which was a problem when automating the telephone connection confirmation test.
