Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a manual paper feed with simple operation, by automatically moving a separator plate holder to a position in which a separator plate is detached by a required distance at the manual paper feed. CONSTITUTION:An engaging part 5c of a separator plate holder 5 is engaged to a lower step face 13b in a cam part 13a of a slide plate 13, and a separator plate 4 is placed in a forcibly contacted condition to a separator roller 3 to separably feed a document sheet by sheet by the roller 3 and the plate 4.
