Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase an ink mist absorbing surface, by a method wherein, in a charge deflection type ink jet recorder, a porous metal is used with an opening through which ink drops pass, and the opening is obliquely cut so that it is open to a recording paper side. CONSTITUTION:In a charge deflection type ink jet recorder. an ink mist absrobing plate 8, formed of a porous metal member such as sintering member, is mounted to a forward end of a carriage 1, and ink drops are caused to fly through an opening 9, through which the ink drops pass, formed in the said ink mist absorbing plate 8. The total surface of the opening 9 is obliquely cut so that it is open to a recording paper 7 side. This causes increasing of an ink mist absorbing area, and permits the effective absorption of ink mist 12 produced at a time when ink drops 11 collide with the recording paper 7.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention involves mounting an inkjet head on a carriage, ejecting ink droplets from the inkjet head while scanning the carriage, and charging the ink droplets according to a printing information signal. This relates to a so-called charge deflection type inkjet recording device that prints on recording paper by deflecting the inkjet, and in particular, a porous metal member (sintered product) that forms an opening for passing ink droplets at the tip of the carriage. ), the opening is cut diagonally so as to open toward the recording paper side, thereby increasing the ink mist absorbing surface and making it easier to cut out the sintered product.

FIG. 1 is a schematic plan view of essential parts of an example of a conventional charge deflection type inkjet recording device, and FIG. 2 is a side view. In the figure, 1 is a carriage, and 2 is a scanning motion of the carriage 1 in the direction of the arrow. 3 is an inkjet head mounted on the carriage 1; 4 is a charging electrode;
5 is a deflection electrode, 6 is a gutter, and 7 is a recording paper.As is well known, ink droplets ejected from the inkjet head 3 are charged at a charging electrode 4 according to a printing information signal, and the charged ink droplets are charged. The ink droplets are deflected by the deflection electrode 5 according to the amount of charge and printed on the recording paper 7, while uncharged ink droplets are captured and recovered by the gutter 6 for reuse. , In the above-mentioned inkjet recording apparatus, conventionally, the carriage 1
An ink mist absorbing plate 8 made of a porous metal member such as a sintered member is provided at the tip of the ink mist absorbing plate 8, and ink droplets are caused to fly through openings 9 provided in the ink mist absorbing plate 8 for passing ink droplets. However, this opening 9 is
As shown in FIG. 2, the cut is oblique to the direction of deflection of the ink droplets, thereby improving electric field shielding and making the opening small in the direction of deflection.

Figure 4 is a back view of Figure 3, Figure 5 is ■-v of Figure 3.
The line cross-sectional view, FIG. 6, is a cross-sectional view taken along the line ■-Vl in FIG. 3. As shown, the opening 9 is cut obliquely across the entire surface so as to open toward the recording paper 7 side. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7, the ink mist absorption area becomes larger, and the ink mishap occurs when the ink droplet 11 collides with the recording paper 7.

FIG. 8 is a diagram for explaining an example of a method for manufacturing the ink mist absorbing plate 10 according to the present invention, in which 10 is the ink mist absorbing plate according to the present invention, 20 is an upper mold, and 21 is a lower mold. As shown in the figure, the ink mist absorbing plate 10 according to the present invention is formed by die cutting. When removing the upper mold 20, the upper mold 20 can be easily removed without damaging the ink mist absorbing plate 10.
