Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a one-way clutch, by allowing a pawl, which is oscillated by a rotating input shaft, to mesh with and unmesh from the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:When the input gear 1 rotates clockwise, a boss 2c is pushed by one end of a cut part 1a to rotate a pawl member 2 counterclockwise round a shaft 3a, and thus a pawl 2b is put in engagement with a ratchet 4a. Thereby the input gear 1, pawl member 2 and ratchet 4a rotate clockwise as in a single body. When the input gear 1 turns counterclockwise, the boss 2c is pushed by the other end of said cut part 1a to rotate the pawl member 2 clockwise round the shaft 3a, and now the pawl 2b is disengaged from the ratchet 4a. Accordingly the ratchet 4a is free from transmission of the rotation of input gear 1.
