Claims

In a videotape cassette, the videotape cassette is formed so as to maintain the closed position by a slider that is slidable in a direction in which the slider is slidable in a direction in which the slider is slidable and whose outer end resiliently contacts the guard panel, and the slider is formed by bending an elastic plate material three-dimensionally into a rod shape. The videotape cassette is characterized in that the slider is biased toward the guard panel by a band-shaped spring extending integrally with the slider in a substantially U-shape from an inner end of the slider.
