[Detailed Description of the Invention] This is a book about decontamination methods. Workers performing repairs and maintenance inside nuclear power plants use gloves and tools, which are usually contaminated secondary to radioactivity. Of these, solid contaminated items such as work gloves are packed in drum cans and are in a so-called disposable form. However, since it is uneconomical to throw away tools such as spanners every now and then, they are decontaminated using high-pressure water or sandplast and then reused. However, we now have to consider how to dispose of the high-pressure underwater sand used for decontamination. In addition, the labor and equipment required for decontamination work would be 1ζ.

Therefore, the present invention does not require the above-mentioned equipment and can be easily decontaminated. We aim to provide a decontamination method that can be easily carried out. Contamination of spanners and the like occurs when contaminants from pipes and tanks adhere to them during work, or when radioactive dust from the air adheres to them, but the present invention has focused on this point and solved this problem. Embodiments will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As an example of a tool, a contaminated spanner 1 is shown in FIG. In the present invention, a peelable paint 2 is applied to the spanner 1, and after drying, the paint 2 is peeled off as shown in FIG. As shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 3, when the paint 2 is peeled off, contaminants 3 adhere to the inner surface of the paint 2, so that the spanner 1 can be used again. It has been confirmed through experiments that even if the level of contamination is slightly high, repeating the above process three times can decontaminate the contamination to below the permissible level. As the peelable paint, one commercially available as Kuribank (trade name) is suitable. This can be easily applied like paint with a brush or paint sprayer, and after drying it can be peeled off as a tape. The paint after peeling can be disposed of in a drum. If there is a risk that the paint 2 may break depending on the location where it is used, reinforcing fibers 4 are mixed into the paint 2 as shown in FIG. The fibers 4 can be ordinary bandages or glass fibers.

As described above, the decontamination method of the present invention not only allows easy decontamination without the need for special equipment, but also has the advantage that used paint can be easily disposed of compared to high-pressure water or sand. be. Furthermore, since all contaminants are attached to the paint, there is no radioactive dust floating around during decontamination work.
