Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent pottery and/or glass surface stain such as that of water closet, by adding to water when using it each specific amount of a cationic surfactant and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-type nonionic surfactant to maintain the prevention of silicic acid-based scale from adhering to the surface. CONSTITUTION:In water when using it, (A) 0.05-20ppm of a cationic surfactant and (B) 1-50ppm of a polyoxyethylene alkyl (phenol) ether-tye nonionic surfactant are incorporated to prevent pottery and/or glass surface stain caused by the silicic acid present in the water. For the component (A), a one-three 12-22C alkyl-contg. quaternary ammonium salt-type cationic surfactant of formulaI(R1 is 12-22C alkyl; X is a halogen such as chlorine, bromine, methyl surfate, ethyl surfate) is preferably used; and for the component (B), a surfactant of formula II (R is an alkylphenyl having 8-18C alkyl or 6-12C alkyl, n=6-15) is recommended.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention describes a method for preventing staining of ceramic or glass surfaces at locations where water is supplied, stored, or forms a reservoir, and is particularly intended for comparison. The present invention relates to a method for preventing stains on the ceramic powder surface or glass surface of a flush water tank or a flush toilet bowl in which regular water (tap water, medium tap water, etc.) is used.

The waxy or brownish stains that can be seen on the interface of the water reservoir or the area where the washing water flows into the washable pot made of ceramics are very stubborn stains, such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and saltwater stains. It was difficult to remove even with the use of harsh chemicals. This is not limited to the benefit of flushing, but also applies when the water used (supplied water) is tap water containing imitation lid components, and this water is used on ceramic or glass surfaces such as water storage containers or water receivers. This is a dust phenomenon that commonly occurs in situations where the water is repeatedly contacted and dried. The inventors of the present invention have conducted extensive studies on this contamination, and have found that the main cause is the silica contained in the water used, such as tap water. In other words, when we analyzed the dirt, we found that silicates accounted for most of it, and from this we found that the silicates contained in the water we use, such as tap water, are the same as those in tap water. Coloring substances contained in water, frozen ingredients extracted from the human body, and dust lowered from the air are absorbed and repeatedly sloughed and thinned at the interface with water on the ceramic or glass surface, and become strongly concentrated as silicic acid scale. This is thought to be because the particles adhered to ceramic or glass surfaces. In addition, the amount of silicic acid contained in river water used for drinking water in Japan is 20 to 40 pprn, and there are 20 commercially available toilet tanks or toilet bottles used as tap water. Many products use the antifouling agent IIi as one of the antifouling points, but this antifouling agent has an antifouling effect on excrement and urine, and cannot have the effect of removing scales as referred to in the present invention. 0 The method of preventing stains on the surface of ceramics and glass of the present invention is as follows:
Add 0.05 to 20 ppm of cationic surfactant to the water used.
and 1 to 50 ppm of polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether type or polyoxyethylene alkyl ether type nonionic W surfactant.

When a cationic surfactant is added to water, it adsorbs to the ceramic or glass surface and makes the ceramic (glass) surface hydrophobic. The contact angle on the (glass) surface is increased, moisture evaporation from the outer surface is suppressed, and dirt is less likely to adhere to the interface, that is, the ceramic surface.

Such an effect is produced when the cationic surfactant is contained in water in an amount of 0.05 to 20 ppm, preferably 1 to 2 ppm.
.. If it is less than 0.05 ppm, the adsorption area of the cationic surfactant is small and the effect is not sufficient.

However, the cationic surfactant becomes hydrophilic again and a sufficient effect cannot be obtained.
Even if it contains 20 ppm, if it is kneaded and used again, the cationic surfactant will accumulate and the ceramic surface will become hydrophilic again, reducing the effect of preventing the adhesion of silicic acid scale. It is the nonionic surfactant of the present invention that maintains the retention. The details of the contribution mechanism of this nonionic surfactant are unknown. The content 7 of this nonionic surfactant is 1 to 50 ppm, preferably 8 to 10 ppm.If it is less than 1 ppm, a sufficient effect cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 50 ppm, nonionic Carbon 15 [12

For example, the present invention can be easily carried out by preparing a solid, paste, or liquid substance containing the ingredients of the present invention to a thickness such that the concentration falls within the above-mentioned range when distributed in the water used. In this case, in addition to the ingredients of the present invention, layer coloring agents such as Kenshoku No. 1 to impart freshness when used in toilets, fragrances for deodorization and fragrance, as well as chelating agents and disinfectants. It is also possible to add additives, fillers, stabilizers, etc. 60 According to the present invention, ceramics,
In addition to preventing stains on the glass surface, is it nonionic and cationic active? Because it uses @, it shows the cleaning power for light fecal stains. In addition, when used in flush toilets, it shows excessive foaming, which is an indicator of cleaning power.Furthermore, the nonionic activator makes the fragrance solubilized. 60 The present invention can be applied to ceramic water tanks for employees that are repeatedly contacted and dried, but in particular, it can be applied to flush water tanks for flush toilets, flush toilets, etc. It is expected to prevent toilet bowls from getting dirty.
