Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit to reduce a valve pressur by a simple structue and facilitate attaching and removing an ink cartridge by a method wherein the valve pressure is impressed to an ink retrieving valve and an ink supplying valve by single valve spring. CONSTITUTION:First valve body, receiving a valve body 25 by a valve seat section 26a, is consisting of the valve body and the valve seat 26 while the second valve body is consisting of a valve body section 26b and the valve seat 28. The valve spring 27 is acted on the valve body 25 for retrieving ink and a pressure pushing the valve body 26 of ink supplying side is removed by pushing up the valve body 25 with the tip section 31a of a cap 31, thereby enabling to release respective valve bodies with weak forces.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention can be used, for example, in an inkjet recording device, etc., where recovered ink that has not been used for printing is returned to an ink cartridge and mixed with the ink in the ink cartridge for reuse. In particular, the present invention relates to an improvement in a double valve mechanism suitable for use in By causing the valve pressure to act between the valve body and the second valve seat body that receives the second valve body, and releasing the valve pressure acting between one valve body and the valve seat body, both valve bodies and the valve The space between the seat bodies is opened, thereby simplifying the structure by using only one valve spring, and reducing the spring pressure to improve workability.

In a continuous jet inkjet recording device, when ink that is not used for printing is collected and reused, it has recently been proposed to return the collected ink to an ink cartridge instead of returning it to an ink tank. This is because when ink deteriorates after being circulated through the ink supply/recovery system many times, most of the ink can be replaced with new ink by replacing the cartridge. This is because it is much more convenient than the method of discharging ink during use.

FIG. 1 is a main part configuration diagram for explaining an example of a conventional device for returning recovered ink to an ink cartridge as described above. In the figure, 10 is an ink tank, 1 is an ink cartridge, and I is from a gutter. 40 is an ink supply pipe for supplying ink to the inkjet head, and is designed so that the ink cartridge can be set in the ink tank 10 from the direction of the arrow. When the cartridge m is set in the ink tank 10, the ink collection tube I
The valve body 21, n is pushed up by the cap 31 of the cap 31, and the ink collected from the gutter passes through the slot 32 of the cap 31 and enters the ink cartridge, and flows inside the ink cartridge in the order of arrows A, N, and No. The ink flows and is supplied to the ink tank IO. Therefore, in the above conventional device,

4, the structure is complicated, and strong force is required to set the cartridge in the ink tank 10. If the spring is weak, the ink will drain from the cartridge when it is removed from the ink tank. (leakage), and in order to retain it, the structure had to be strong; for example, the cartridge had to be screwed into the ink tank.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.In particular, the present invention simplifies the structure by using only one valve spring, and weakens the spring pressure so that the user can insert the cartridge into the ink tank or the like. It is designed so that it can be easily removed.

FIG. 2 is a main part configuration diagram illustrating an embodiment of a double valve mechanism according to the present invention. In the figure, 11 is a car integrally provided with the ink tank 10, and 5 is a spring for holding an IJ. 1
, the valve body is the valve body and the valve seat body, 27 is the valve spring, and the path is the second valve body.
In the valve seat body, the valve body and the valve seat body 26 constitute a first valve body that receives the first valve body 5 through a section 26a, and a second valve body that receives the first valve body 5 through a section 26b. It makes up the body. In addition, 31 is a gutter, 32 is an ink collection pump, hopper is 41, and 41 is an ink supply pump.
Parts which act in the same manner as in the figures are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1. In FIG. 2, the ink accumulated in the gutter 31 is guided to a hopper 33 by an ink recovery pump 32, and is accumulated in an ink recovery tube connected to an ink tank 10. Now, push the cartridge into the ink tank 1o and operate the inkjet ejection head (not shown) to eject an inkjet.
The amount of ink that is ejected is discharged from the cartridge, but since the ink in the ink collection tube (to) is guided into the ink cartridge, the collected ink is mixed with new ink in the cartridge and placed in the ink tank. Since the ink is discharged, if this cycle is repeated, the ink in the cartridge and the ink in the ink tank become approximately homogeneous. In this case, the ink flows as shown by the arrow in FIG. 2, but unlike the conventional device shown in FIG. Since the tip 31a of the cap 31 is acting on the valve body 5,
By pushing up, the pressure on the valve elements (26) on the ink supply side is removed, so each valve element can be released with a weak force. At this time, if the valve body (26) on the ink supply side is unstable, the shoulder portion 31b of the base 31 may be used to push up the valve seat body and the valve body portion 26b of the valve body 26.
In that case, from the shoulder 31 b of the cap 31 to the tip 31
a, the length of the valve seat body and the valve body part 26a.
When the valve body 5 is placed on the lowermost end of the valve body 6 (the base 31
The length from the bottom end of the valve body 26b (the part that the shoulder 31b of the cap 31 contacts) must be made longer. In addition, the 6 valves are made into a spherical shape,
In particular, if the material of the ink supply valve is made of an elastic member such as rubber, the adhesion is good and the spring pressure can be further weakened. However, those that are lighter than the ink liquid and float in the ink liquid are not suitable. In addition, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a pole-shaped valve body was used as the valve body 5 for ink recovery, but the part in contact with the valve seat body portion 26b is spherical, and as shown in FIG. A rod-shaped valve body may also be used.

Although the present invention is applied to an ink cartridge of an inkjet recording device, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and includes, for example, image forming materials (toner, Also, in the above embodiment, the recovered ink is introduced into the cartridge from the inside of the valve body and the valve seat body. Although the ink is supplied from the outside, it is easy to understand that the ink flow may be reversed by connecting the ink recovery tube and the ink supply tube 40.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the valve pressure is applied to the ink recovery valve and the ink 1 supply valve by a single valve spring, which simplifies the structure and reduces the valve pressure. This allows for easy installation and removal of ink cartridges.
