Abstract

PURPOSE:To form mist flow of ultrafine particles with less power consumption by introducing mist-like fluid into a mixer body while rotating a spiral metallic hairy brush mounted to a revolving shaft at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:In a mixer body 8, a spiral metallic hairy brush 6 having a pump effect is mounted to a revolving shaft 7, and while the brush is rotated at about >=10m/s peripheral speed by a motor 9, fuel oil such as heavy oil A is fed from a tank and is sprayed into the body 8 through a spray nozzle 5. At the same time a constant volume of air is fed therein from an air breather 4. The air is mixed with the oil mists in the body 8 to form an air emulsion which is further shorn at a high speed by the brush 6, whereby the mist flow of about <=1mu ultrafine particles is formed. Such mist flow is stored in a serivce tank 12 as improved fuel oil of good combustion efficiency.

Conventionally, as a method of increasing oil combustion efficiency and saving oil, oil, water, and additives are sent to a mixer, and the liquid state is mixed and stirred with blades to burn the atomized emulsion liquid. The size of the particles differs depending on the mixing ratio of oil and water, but in the case of oil-water mixing ratio 7:B, the average particle size of oil is 50 to 150μ, and the average particle size of water is 6 to 5μ.
It is. This conventional method has the following problems.

(1) (1) When fuel oil, water, and additives are mixed, the liquid has a high viscosity, and since it is stirred by impellers, the power consumption for stirring is large, and the stirring rotational speed is limited, resulting in the generation of emulsion. The particles are also large, ranging from 6 to 150 microns. (2) Additives include emulsifiers and combustion improvers, both of which are expensive.

(3) 油と水を混合させるため、油水の分離易さと

(3) Because oil and water are mixed, it is easy to separate the oil and water, and there is a rare occurrence of rust when the oil comes into contact with the liquid, and corrosion of iron materials due to the generation of sulfur dioxide gas in the exhaust gas.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, enhances the reforming effect of fuel oil, improves combustion efficiency, and reduces pollution generated during combustion.

The structure of the present invention is explained below in detail with reference to the drawings.Whether A heavy oil, B heavy oil, or C heavy oil is injected from the nozzle (5), a metal structure attached to the shaft (7) in a spiral shape Due to the pump action of the multi-bristle brush (6), a negative pressure is created around the nozzle (5) outlet, so that the oil mist (2) is easily expanded. Air blower installed at the mixer main body (8) inlet! j' - From (4), a certain amount of air is mixed into the oil mist to form an air emulsion, and in this state, at a circumferential speed of 10 m/8 or more, Ig
It is sheared at high speed by the metal of the brush (6) that rotates once.
The mixer body (8) creates a spray flow of ultrafine particles of μ or less.
It is sent to the service tank (12) in a state in which the pressure is regulated by the discharge side pressure regulating valve. Oil is a Newtonian fluid, and in this case, the friction stress (τ), the viscosity of the liquid (μ), and the sliding velocity (v
) is τ-μ·V, and the liquid atomization effect of the present invention is remarkable when the circumferential speed is large and the number of times the shearing stroke is large.

The required power when shearing the oil mist injected from the nozzle (5) at high speed as in the present invention is about two-sixths or less of that when stirring the entire liquid, which is economical in terms of energy consumption.

However, since no water is mixed into the oil mist, there are effects such as less rusting of piping and less generation of sulfur dioxide gas in the exhaust gas.
