Tape reels 3 on which magnetic tape 2 is wound are rotatably installed inside the main body case 1 on the left and right sides, and the magnetic tape 2 is led out from one tape reel 3 to the front of the main body case 1 and transferred to the other tape reel 3. A tape drawer member insertion pocket 12 is recessed in the front surface of the main body case 1, and a front cover 5 for protecting the tape is pivotally attached to the main body case 1 so that it can be opened and closed. In the tape cartridge, a tape push-out member 23 whose tip comes into contact with the magnetic tape 2 is movably provided on the front surface of the main case 1, and a spring member 24 biases the tape push-out member 23 to protrude toward the front of the case. is attached, and when the front cover 5 is closed, the tape pushing member 23 is pressed by the front cover 5 into a position in which it retracts inward of the case against the spring member 24, and the front cover 5 closes.
