Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

A fixed core around which an operating coil is wound and a movable core facing the fixed core are held at the lower end, and a movable contact facing the fixed contact is held via a pressing spring that presses the fixed contact toward the fixed contact. In an electromagnetic contactor having a slidable loss bar, an arc runner made of a magnetic metal material is vertically disposed on the fixed contact, a grid holding plate made of an insulating material is held on the arc runner, and a grid holding plate made of an insulating material is held on the arc runner. An arc extinguishing device for an electromagnetic contactor, characterized in that a grid made of a magnetic metal material is fixed to extend between the movable contactor and the arc runner.
