ベースと、シートバック側方に固設されると共に前記シ
ートクッションベースに枢軸により回動可能に支承され
るシートバックアームと、前記シートクッションベース
又はシートバックアームのいずれか一方の部材に形成さ
れるセクタギアと、他方の部材に設けられ前記セクタギ
アと噛合する歯部を有するロック部材と、前記歯部とセ
クタギアとの噛合を解除する操作レバーとを設けるリク
ライニング装置において、前記セクタギアと係合する突
起及び前記セクタギアの歯部を被うリップ部を有し、前
記セクタギアと係脱自在に枢軸に支承される位置記憶部
材と、該位置記憶部材を′ セクタギアとの係合から離
脱する方向に付勢する弾性部材と、上記一方の部材へ枢
着され常時前記弾性部材に抗して前記位置記憶部材をセ
クタギアへ係合する様作用するメモリーレバーとを有す
