Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of a scroll used in a scroll compressor, by fabricating an end plate and a lap of a scroll separately from each other, and then coupling them together by use of pins. CONSTITUTION:A lap 1 is manufactured by way of powder metallurgy, injection molding, machining, plastic machining or casting, and then pin holes 2 are formed in one end face of the lap 1. On the other hand, similar pin holes 4 are formed also in one end face of an end plate 3. Thereafter, the lap 1 and the end plate 3 are coupled together by inserting pins 5 into the holes 2 or 4 of the lap 1 or the end plate 3. In the above arrangement, it is possible to interpose a Teflon plate 6 between the lap 1 and the end plate 3 so as to improve the sealing and fitting performance at the joining surface.

ンプ1の材質は、グラスチツクス、ht合金、セラ建り
ス、鋳鉄、鋼でも良いし、ビ15および一板4について
も同様である。第3図は組立後のスクロールの断面であ
