晶を必要とししかも液晶表示器O!9と発光ダイオ−ト
ロ加2・・・の闇にハーフミラ−Iを用いたため極めて
高価になっていたつこのため単なる技術提案にすぎず、
実際は発光ダイオードのかわりに光パイプやエレクトロ
ルミネセンスへような面状発光体を用いて液晶表示器を
照明するにすぎなかったが、この場合夜間は間開が明る
く表示が暗い、いわゆる抜き文字になるので好ましくな
いっまた色彩も単調となっていた。 本発明はこれらの点を考慮してなされたもので以下本発
明を実施例に基づいて詳細に説明するっ第6図は本発明
の実施例を示す複合表示器の断面図で、(1)は紙エポ
