Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a recording head small-sized and to make the lead of a pencil hard to break by a method wherein the lower part of the lead is chucked and pressed by a chuck and is made possible to rechuck when the lead becomes short by detecting this by a detection lever, in a recording head for an illustration. CONSTITUTION:A collar 5 is moved in the direction A' by the excitation of a solenoid 14, and a lead 1 is chucked by a chuck 4 and pressed on a recording body 30. When the excitation of the solenoid is discontinued, the chuck chuking the lead 1 is lifted in the direction A by a coil spring 16. When the lead becomes short, the lowering of the chuck 4 is detected by a detection lever 7'', and when the excitation of the solenoid is discontinued thereby, the rise in the chuck is checked by a detection lever 7'. The chuck is thereby opened to let out the lead. Since the lower end part of the lead is tightened and fixed by the chuck, the breakage of the lead is avoided and an employment of a long lead holder 2 is unnecessitated, which have been practice in a usual constitution wherein the lead is pressed on the upper end thereof.

In the recording head having such a configuration, during recording, the moving mechanism moves the core holder 2 in the A1 direction and lowers it to a predetermined position near the surface of the recording medium 30, and at the same time moves the tailstock 3 in the A' force direction. the end of the pencil lead 1, and press the pencil lead 1 against the surface of the recording medium 30 with a constant force. On the other hand, when recording is not to be performed, the moving mechanism moves the tailstock 3 in the entry direction and raises it to a predetermined position, and also raises the lead holder 2 to a predetermined position.

However, in such a recording head, the pencil lead 1 becomes shorter as recording is performed, so a pressing force is applied to the pencil lead 1 by pushing the end of the pencil lead 1 with a long core pusher 5. For this reason, there was a problem that the recording head became taller and the overall size became larger. In addition, since the core pusher 3 presses the end of the pencil lead 1, the pencil lead 1
There have been problems in that the edges of the pencil lead 1 are likely to chip, and if the pencil lead 1 is long, it is likely to break. The present invention was made to eliminate these problems, and is a compact, pencil lead 1. The object of the present invention is to provide a recording head which is not easily broken and does not have its core end chipped.

Reference numeral 6 denotes a coil spring that is applied between the convex portion 4I of the chuck 4 and the collar 5. The coil spring 6 presses the collar 5 against the conical portion 4'1 of the chuck 40 by spring force. Due to the coil spring 6, the collar 5 is attached to the conical part 4" of the chuck 4.
When the collar 5 is not pressed, the chuck 4 is opened and the pencil lead 1 is released and can be moved in the axial direction, and when the collar 5 is pressed against the conical part 4'' of the chuck 4, the chuck 4 is closed and the pencil The lead 1 is tightened and fixed. 7 is a mouth-shaped detection lever, which is placed close to the lead holder 2 and detects the position of the chuck 4. The detection lever 7 has arms 7I and 7 electrics 1, It rotates in the direction B-B' around a shaft 81. Reference numeral 9 denotes a torsion coil spring, one end of which is attached to a pin 10 implanted in the detection lever 7, and the other end attached to a fixed part of the recording head (not shown). ).The torsion coil spring 9 is attached to the pin 11 implanted in the position shown in Figure 2 (A), where the pin 10 is below the line connecting the center of the shaft 8 and the pin 11. Therefore, a spring force is applied so that the detection lever 7 rotates in the B1 direction.

As the pencil lead 1 becomes shorter as a result of recording, the chuck 4 descends in the A' force direction accordingly. When the pencil lead 1 decreases by more than a predetermined amount, the conical portion 4° of the chuck 4 will move against the arm 7 of the detection lever 7.
Rotate M1 in the direction of Keishi B. This allows pin 1o
is located above the line connecting the centers of the shaft 8 and the pin 11, so the spring 9 applies a spring force so that the detection lever 7 rotates in the direction B. Here, when the solenoid 14 is de-energized, the collar 5 is lifted in the direction A, and the chuck 4 is stopped at a position where the protrusion 4I abuts the arm 7I of the detection lever 7. Even in this state, the collar 5 is lifted in the A direction, so the collar 5 is removed from contact with the conical portion 4 of the chuck 4, and the chuck 4 is opened. At this point, the pencil lead 1 is released and falls in the direction of the AI force due to its own weight, and its tip is held by the tip 2- of the lead holder 2 and stops. This state is shown in FIG. Here, when the solenoid 14 is energized, the collar 5 descends in the direction of the AI force and is pressed against the conical portion 4'' of the chuck 40, closing the chuck 4#'i, and the pencil lead 1 remains tightened in the direction of the AI force. It descends, and the tip of the pencil lead 1 comes into contact with the recording medium 30.

Along with this, the lead holder 2 and the detection lever 7 also descend to a predetermined position near the surface of the recording medium 300. At this time, the arm 7' of the detection lever 7 hits the pin 12 and is rotated in the B direction to return to its original position.

According to the recording head having such a configuration, since the pencil lead 1 is pressed against the recording medium 30 in a state in which it is fastened and fixed by the chuck 4, there is no need for a core pusher to press the end of the pencil lead 1. Therefore, the end of the pencil lead 1 will not be chipped, and since the length of the lead holder 2 is shortened, the height of the recording head can be lowered and the overall size can be reduced. Also, pencil lead 1
Since the position near the lower end of the pencil lead 1 is tightened and fixed by the chuck 4, the pencil lead 1 has a characteristic that it is difficult to break due to the pressing force. In the example, the pencil lead 1 is used as a consumable writing lead. Although the above example is based on the case where the expendable writing lead was used, other consumable writing leads such as crayons and pigments may be used.
