Abstract

PURPOSE:To mold a hollow article with a partition plate by a conventional blow molding method, by a process wherein a parison and a sheet placed in the interior of the parison and having at least one end thereof separated from the parison are extruded through the same die or are injection molded, and after jointing the parison and the sheet with each other into an integral body, air is blown therein. CONSTITUTION:A molten resin is extruded through a slit into a metallic mold 6 for blow molding provided below an extrusion die 1, thereby producing the parison 7 and the sheet 9 located in the interior of the parison 7 with both ends thereof separated from the parison 7 by gaps 8, 8. Next, the mold 6 is closed, an upper and an opening end 7a of the parison 7 are closed, and an end part of the parison 7 and an end part 9a of the sheet 9 are jointed to each other to one body. Then, the parison 7 is fully inflated in the cavity of the mold 5 by using an air pin 5. In this case, both ends of the sheet 9 are separated from the parison 7 by the gaps 8, 8 which permit air to flow therethrough. Accordingly, a hollow article can be molded by a conventional method.

In particular, providing a partition plate inside a hollow molded product serving as a liquid container not only improves rigidity but also has a wave-proofing effect as a countermeasure against the vibration noise of the liquid inside. However, by extruding a molten thermoplastic resin through a die to form a parison,
(In the blow molding method, in which the open end of the parison is closed and air is blown immediately to form the parison into the desired hollow molded product, the parison extruded into the cavity is immediately closed, so the member that will become the partition plate is In order to insert it into the parison, special means are required. Also, it is possible to partially press it into a blow mold on the side of the parison to form a part that will become a partition plate inside the parison. However, although such a method is possible for plate-shaped hollow molded products, it is extremely difficult to mold hollow molded products with complicated shapes and a large blow-up ratio. Even if a hollow molded product is provided with a lip for reinforcement, it is not easy to provide a partition plate.

The present invention has been conceived in view of the above points, and its purpose is to improve the conventional blow molding process by molding a partition plate integrally inside the parinon. It is an object of the present invention to provide a new method in which air blowing of balin/gas is not impaired even if there is a member serving as a partition plate inside.

Therefore, the present invention for the above purpose involves extrusion molding or injection molding a parison and a sheet inside the parison with at least one side end away from the parison from the same die, and integrally molding the parison and the sheet. This method is characterized by air blowing the parison after joining.

In extrusion molding or injection molding of the above-mentioned sheet, a slit for molding the sheet that will become a partition plate is provided in the core of a conventionally commonly used parison molding die, in addition to the slit for parison molding, and the molten state is by extruding or injecting the thermoplastic resin and extruding or injecting the sheet in parallel with the molding of the parison.

In this case, the sheet-forming slit must have at least one end separated from the parison-forming slit. In this way, an air flow gap is obtained between the extrusion-molded or injection-molded parison and the sheet, and even if the sheet is inside, the parison can be expanded without impairing air blowing. Further, a plurality of slits for sheet forming may be provided alternately, the direction can be freely selected, and the shape of the partition plate may also be an irregularly shaped plate within a possible range.

The parison and sheet extruded or injection molded from the die/rad are joined together before air blowing. In this case, the opening end of the parison is closed by pinch-off in a blow mold, and at the same time the end of the parison and the end of the sheet are joined together. Next, using the air bin 5, the parison 6 is inflated to fill the cavity of the blow mold 5 (see Fig. 5). In this case, sheet 9 is the third
As is clear from the figure, both ends are separated by the parison 7, and there are air circulation gaps 8, 8, . Because of this, the air blown into the parison is not blocked by the sheet 9 and evenly spreads throughout the parison, forming a hollow molded product 10 that is no different from the conventional case. In addition, the sheet 9, together with the parison 7, has upper and lower ends formed by the blow mold 6.
Because it is fixed to the air blower, it does not deform during air blowing and maintains its shape when extruded. This not only improves the rigidity of the product 10 but also functions as a wave-proof plate.

As described above, the present invention extrudes a 7-t sheet inside the parinon in parallel with the extrusion molding of the baliso sheet, and leaves this sheet as a partition plate in the hollow molded product, so the conventional blow molding method can be used as is. Can be used. In addition, since an air circulation gap is formed between one side edge of the sheet and the parison, there is no air circulation obstruction caused by the partition plate, and air blowing can be performed using normal means to blow the entire parison as desired. It has the advantage of being able to be molded into hollow molded products.
