Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sepn. efficiency and to permit reevaporation and reheating of moisture by passing high temp. steam into the corrugated plates which are the elements of a separating device for moisture and providing many fins. CONSTITUTION:In a separating device for moisture which uses the principle of inertia in the stage of changing directions during passage of moisture between corrugated plates, high temp. steam is introduced into the plates 2 to heat the surfaces of the corrugated plates. Many fins 10 are provided in order to increase the heat transfer areas of the surfaces of the plates 2. Thus the separator for moisture having good separating performance for moisture and plant performance is obtained, and the reevaporation and reheating of moisture are made possible.

Conventional moisture separators simply arrange multiple corrugated plates at equal intervals to separate moisture, passing wet steam through the spaces between the corrugated plates, and utilizing the centrifugal force of the high specific gravity of the moisture. The method was to allow the moisture to adhere to the corrugated plate walls and separate and capture the moisture from the steam.

In nuclear power turbines, the main steam pressure and temperature are generally low due to restrictions on the reactor side, so the steam discharged from the high-pressure turbine that performs work contains a large amount of moisture. This steam is directly introduced into the low-pressure turbine through three parts of the turbine, such as the rotor blades.

This causes erosion in the casing, etc., significantly impairing the reliability of the equipment, and also reduces turbine performance due to the braking action exerted on the rotating body due to the large amount of moisture.

In order to overcome these disadvantages peculiar to nuclear power turbines, a moisture separator is installed in the connecting pipe between the high-pressure turbine and the low-pressure turbine, and the harmful steam is passed between the corrugated plates that are the moisture separation element in the container. remove moisture.

The key point of the present invention is that in addition to the conventional moisture separation effect based on the inertial principle during directional displacement between corrugated sheets, high-temperature steam is introduced into the corrugated sheet to heat the corrugated sheet surface and In order to widen the heat transfer surface, a large number of fins are provided to increase separation efficiency and enable moisture re-evaporation and reheating.

First, the function of the moisture separator will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. Steam containing a large amount of moisture from the high-pressure turbine enters the steam inlet section 5 of the moisture separator body l, separates the drain by the corrugated plate 2 housed in the corrugated plate insertion box 3, and exits from the steam outlet 6. Flows to low pressure turbine. On the other hand, the separated drain falls into the drain receiver 4 and flows to the drain discharge lower.
