A deflection device disposed from the neck to the funnel of a color picture tube containing an in-line electron gun and screen, and comprising a vertical deflection coil that generates a barrel-shaped deflection magnetic field and a horizontal deflection coil that generates a pincushion-shaped deflection magnetic field. What is claimed is: 1. A deflection device characterized by comprising a magnetic body fixed via a fixing agent near the maximum density of leakage magnetic flux on the vertical deflection coil and provided with a locking portion.
