Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

In a magnetic head having a structure in which a core member including a read/write core that is joined via a read/write gap is attached to a core insertion hole provided in the center of a slider, the core member is attached to the read/write core other than the read/write core. The slider is made of a magnetic material, and the core insertion hole provided in the slider is such that the core member is inserted at a distance from the hole wall surface. The hole wall has a shape that is large enough to allow the core member and the magnetic slider to protrude toward the erase core at opposing positions so as to be able to face the erase core through a gap. A digital magnetic head in which a non-magnetic material is inserted into the gap between the hole wall surface and integrated, and a magnetomotive force is applied between the erase core and the slider to trim the write track width.
