DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is an optical character reader (OCR) that has an elevator-type form hopper that detects the stacked height of paper and always sends out forms from a constant height. The present invention relates to a form sending device for a copy machine.

In a card reader, OCR, etc., if a form sending command is not successful, the form and card are left as they are and a sending command is issued again in an attempt to lead to success.

In the conventional technology, the paper feed command is issued again while leaving the form as it is, so once the paper feed fails, it is often impossible to recover without human intervention.

In other words, if the delivery of a form once fails, the entire hopper is lowered a certain distance, and in the process, the multiple forms that have already entered the entrance become suspended from below.
At this time, it is separated from the paper underneath.

一定時間後ホッパ全体を所定の位置まで持上げる。After a certain period of time, the entire hopper is lifted to a predetermined position.

When a feed-out command is issued when the form reaches a predetermined position, the form that could not be sent out first has already been separated from the paper below, so it will definitely be sent out this time.

There is a method in which the entire form stacked with this hopper is lowered once to separate the paper, and then the form is raised again or the form is quickly moved up and down to vibrate the entire form and separate the paper. It is a characteristic.

次に本発明の一実施例を説明する。Next, one embodiment of the present invention will be described.

When a lift command A is given to the lift command circuit 15 shown in FIG. 1, the motor 12 is rotated by the amplifier 17, the screw 10 connected to the gear box 11 is rotated to the left, and the hopper 9 starts to rise.

Although the form 8 comes into contact with the delivery roller 1, the hopper further rises, so that the lever 4 connected to the delivery roller 1 also rotates to the left about the separation roller 3.

After this, when a feed-out command is issued to the form, the control circuit (not shown) transmits power to the separation roller 3, the belt 2, and the feed-out roller 1 in this order, and the roller rotates in the direction shown by the arrow in Figure 1 between the roller and the form. The forms are moved to the left by the frictional force, separated one by one by a separating roller 3 and a separating belt 5 moving in the opposite direction, and sent to a form feeding mechanism (not shown).

However, sometimes the upper form 8 and the next form 8' stick together strongly and are stopped by the separation mechanism, preventing them from passing through the light emitting diode 19 and photodiode 18 of the form detection part within the specified time. Detects an abnormality in the feeding operation depending on the part.

As mentioned above, the conventional mechanism that feeds paper by the stiffness of the form and rollers does not separate the form properly, so there are many cases where errors occur and require operator intervention, which impairs the operability of the device. However, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a device with better operability than conventional devices.
