[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to an alarm device that not only issues a power outage warning when a commercial power supply fails, but also warns of a voltage drop in a battery that supplies power during a power outage.

In general, power outage protection devices that supply power from batteries during commercial power outages are widely used as easy power outage protection devices, but because power outages are rare and power outage durations are usually short, the battery capacity is small and the battery life is a bit long. When a power outage occurs, the voltage of the battery decreases, causing malfunction of the electrical equipment. Therefore, normal electrical equipment has a circuit that automatically stops the electrical equipment within a certain period of time after a power outage, making the circuit complicated.

In addition, conventional power outage protection devices do not issue an alarm when a power outage occurs, so it is not known that the power outage has occurred after the power outage is restored, and even if a malfunction occurs due to a power outage, the cause of the malfunction may not be known. The problem was that it was difficult to pursue.

Particularly in the case of a momentary power outage, there is a problem in that it is not known that a power outage has occurred.

The alarm alerts the user to the power outage condition and presses the reset key 7.

When the power outage state is soon canceled, discharging from the battery 4 to the load 3 will stop, and the battery 4 will be in a charging state again.

On the other hand, if the power outage continues for a long time and the load 3 is used during that time, the voltage of the battery 4 will drop, so the detection circuit 5 will work again and the buzzer 6 will sound to warn the user of the voltage drop of the battery 4. Easy to use to the fullest.

次に上記検知回路5の詳細を第2図に示して説明する。Next, details of the detection circuit 5 will be explained with reference to FIG.

In the figure, the voltage of the power supply 1 is introduced from the a terminal, the voltage level is checked in the 1st rubel circuit 8, and when the voltage falls below a certain value, the level output is a single signal circuit using a one-shot multivibrator. 9 to generate a single signal.

The alarm is stopped during a power outage and the battery 4 allows the load 3 to be used for a long time.
When it is operated, a drop in the voltage of the battery 4 appears at the b terminal, and a detection output is generated in the second level circuit 12 indicating that the voltage of the battery 4 has decreased to near the unstable operation level of the load 3.
Since the conditions for the AND gate circuit 13 are met, an alarm is issued in the same way as when the voltage of the power supply 1 drops.

Next, in the same way as above, press reset key 7 to reset flip-flop 1.
Even if it is reset to 1, it will be set again, so the alarm will continue.

Therefore, the user can stop the operation of the load 3 to prevent malfunction of the load 3 due to a drop in the voltage of the battery 4, and at the same time prevent the battery 4 from being consumed due to complete discharge.

In the above example, if a relay switch is provided on the load side between the battery 4 and the load 3, and the relay switch is opened by the output of the AND gate circuit 13, as the voltage of the battery 4 decreases, the relay switch will automatically open as the voltage of the battery 4 decreases. Although it is possible to stop the load 3, it is not desirable to stop it suddenly depending on the operating state of the load 3, so the structure is such that the operating state of the load 3 is detected and the relay switch is opened when the load 30 is in a stable state. Just do it.

As mentioned above, this proposal provides protection against voltage drops in the commercial power supply and commercial power supply in a device that protects against power outages by supplying rectified output from the commercial power supply to the load and at the same time charging the battery at all times and discharging it to the load during a power outage. This device has means for detecting a drop in battery voltage when the battery voltage drops, and is equipped with a circuit that displays an alarm based on the detection output of the means. The alarm at the time of a power outage continues until it is canceled with the reset key, so it is temporary. Even in the event of a power outage, the user can be sure to know when the power is restored, and even in long-term power outages, the load can be used continuously with power from the battery, and at the same time, a warning of battery voltage drop is alerted. Therefore, the battery can be utilized to the maximum, and the detection circuit has a very simple structure, making it inexpensive and highly reliable, which is very useful in this type of alarm device.
