Claims

(1) In an electrostatic precipitator having a discharge part and a dust collecting part which are arranged facing each other at a predetermined distance from each other, the discharge part includes a needle-shaped discharge electrode extending along the dust collecting part, and a needle-shaped discharge electrode extending along the dust collecting part; a non-discharge shaped control electrode provided with close openings on both sides along the extending direction of the discharge electrode and in the direction along the dust collection electrode;
An electrostatic precipitator comprising a third electrode that is provided at a predetermined distance from the tip of the control electrode in its protruding direction and that has the same potential as the control electrode.
