As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a running marking device generally includes a marking roll 4, with a presser roll 1 on both sides in the width direction, and a punching device 3 mounted on an eccentric shaft 2 between the press rolls so as to be rotatable and rotationally lockable.
, a support frame 6 that supports the shafts 4' on both sides of the roll 4 and is moved up and down by a hydraulic cylinder 5, and a selection device 7 for a punch device mounted above the marking roll 4 in the support frame 6.
, a backup roll 8 that supports the lower surface of the steel material (running material) S directly below the marking roll 4, and rotation drive mechanisms 9 and 10 for the marking roll 4 and the backup roll 8, respectively, and a punching device 3 for the marking roll 4. is a large number of punches 3
A toothed wheel type punch ring 3b having a mark a on the outer periphery is disposed on the eccentric shaft 2, and punches 3a' to be marked on each punch ring 3b are arranged to protrude into a predetermined marking portion K.

The operation of this marking device is such that when the front end of the steel plate S reaches a predetermined position immediately before the marking roll 4, the marking roll 4 is lowered and rotated by the detection signal, and the steel plate S
is clamped between the stamping roll 4 and the backup roll 8 with a predetermined pressure (at the time of this clamping, the stamping part is located in the width direction of the top edge of the outer periphery of the stamping roll 4).After that, the stamping roll 4 is rotated twice, and during this operation, the stamping roll 4 is rotated twice. At the end of half a rotation, the stamped surface of the punch 3a' to be stamped, which is protruded from the stamped part K, is engraved on the surface of the steel plate to stamp a predetermined indication, and after this, the remaining 16
During the five rotations, the marking roll 4 is moved upward and the character selection device 7 positions the punch to be marked for the next display at the marking portion K.

As shown in FIG. 3, the stamping target punches 3a' arranged protrudingly from the stamping section K have their stamping surfaces f parallel to the tangent H1 to the rotating circumferential surface of the presser roll 4 at the stamping section K, and It is spaced a predetermined distance l away from the tangent line H1 depending on the desired marking depth.

However, various experimental results have revealed that under these conditions, the surface of the steel plate is not stamped at a uniform depth.

That is, as shown in FIG.
However, the first contact with the surface of the steel plate S is from the shoulder of the stamping surface f on the side N' of the stamping roll rotation direction. Since it is located on the stamp roll radial direction line R1, which is 8 points before the predetermined stamp roll rotation angle from the radial direction line R1 position, the shoulder at the end of the stamp surface f collides with the surface of the steel plate S, and as shown in the opening in Fig. 4, it is at its lowest point. It bites deeply, and after this, the stamped surface f and the surface of the steel plate S gradually come into surface contact, and the surface pressure is only the predetermined pressing force of the lifting cylinder 5, as shown in Figure 4, Part C. The shoulder portion of the stamping surface f on the side RV' opposite to the rotational direction of the stamping roll bites in more shallowly than the shoulder portion on the side N' of the rotational direction of the stamping roll, resulting in an inclined stamping result as a whole, and the stamped characters become extremely unclear.

For this reason, for example, if the steel plate surface is chemically or physically cleaned or hardened after engraving, the shallow part will disappear and a deep part will remain, making the engraved characters unreadable. This results in making it impossible to compare the data with the actual product, which poses a major hindrance to production process management.

The present invention provides an excellent stamping device that advantageously solves these problems, and its features are as follows:
A punch device is mounted between the presser rolls on both sides in the width direction, and the stamping roll, which has the stamping punches arranged protrudingly at the stamping position, is brought into rotational contact with the surface of the traveling material at a predetermined pressure, whereby the punch to be stamped is pressed. In the running marking device that stamps the marking surface on the surface of the traveling material, the fifth
As in one embodiment of the present invention shown in the figure, the punches 3a' to be marked by the punch device 3 are arranged at the marking position K, and the marking surface f
′ first hits the surface of the traveling material S, the stamped surface f
' and the surface of the traveling material S on the opposite traveling direction side RV of the traveling material S.

is above O and is smaller than the internal angle θ formed by the radial line R1 of the marking roll 4 perpendicular to the surface of the traveling material S at that time and the radial direction R2 of the marking roll 4 passing through the center of the marking surface f'. The stamped surface f' of each punch 3a of the punch device 3 is
This is due to the fact that it is tilted.

In other words, the present invention makes the marking surface f' of the punch 3a at an angle greater than O and less than or equal to θ, on the side RV opposite to the traveling direction of the traveling material S, with respect to the plane H2 parallel to the tangent H1 as shown in FIG. By tilting, preferably at said θ angle, i.e. said θ.

By setting O to the stamped surface f as shown in Fig. 6A,
The initial collision form between the surface of the traveling material S and the surface of the traveling material S is a surface collision or a collision in a state close to that, so that the entire surface of the inclined marking surface f' can be instantaneously engraved on the surface of the traveling material S.

Therefore, unlike the inclined marking result as shown in FIG. The stamping is performed at a predetermined uniform depth according to the descending pressure of step 5, and an extremely clear marking result is reliably obtained.

Contrary to Figure 4 A, the shoulder of the stamping roll counter-rotational side RV' on the stamping surface f tt crashes into the surface of the traveling material S, and as shown in the opening of Figure 7, it bites into the deepest part, and after this. The pressure of the hydraulic cylinder 5 accompanying the rotation of the stamping roll 4 is applied only to the shoulder of the deeply dug stamping surface f// on the side RV' of the stamping roll in the opposite direction of rotation, so further engraving cannot be expected. However, it has the same drawbacks as the conventional method.

In this way, the present invention allows the stamping surface of the stamping punch to instantly inscribe the surface of the material at an even depth from the moment it comes into contact with the road surface, from the time the stamping surface first contacts the surface of the material being traveled. This allows for extremely clear engraving results.

Therefore, even if the surface of the material is chemically treated, physically cleaned, or hardened after being engraved, the engraved characters will not disappear locally, and the engraved characters can be read accurately. This makes verification accurate and advantageously facilitates production process management.
