Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust amount of beam without the provision of a light source at the outside of a camera, by incorporating a light source for setting the amount of beam, in an optical system of a television camera. CONSTITUTION:A beam setting built-in light source 8 is provided in a camera device and a light is given at setting through a lens 3 and a prism optical system 4. A detector 9 is provided after a preamplifier 6, an output of the detector 9 is received with a beam controller 10, which gives a control signal to a beam G1 voltage setter 11 of R, G, B pickup tube 5 to control the amount of beam.

Conventionally, when setting the beam amount in a television camera device, specifically, when setting the first grid (G1) or cathode (K) electrode voltage, it is necessary to image an object that is a light source that corresponds to a beam amount that is greater than or equal to the desired beam amount. Then, while observing the video signal on a waveform monitor, the electrode voltage was adjusted to achieve the desired beam amount.

Therefore, in order to perform this adjustment, it was necessary to have a subject and a light source whose amount of beam was greater than or equal to the amount of beam to be set. These problems have been an obstacle when adjusting the television camera, especially when performing automatic adjustment.

According to the present invention, since the light source for setting the beam amount is built into the optical system of the television camera, the setting of the beam amount, that is, the adjustment of the electrode voltage at Gl or Gl, is automatically performed using a computer or the like. Thus, a television camera device is obtained which also enables the following functions. In the present invention, there is no need to prepare an object and a light source for beam setting externally, and the beam setting light source built into the lens or optical system is operated according to the beam amount setting control signal to output video. By detecting the level, it is possible to control the beam amount, that is, the electrode voltage of the image pickup tube.
