In a heat exchanger consisting of flat heat exchanger tubes with partition plates, the U-shaped tubes that collect the refrigerant at the bend part of the heat exchanger and distribute the refrigerant to the next heat exchanger tube are orthogonal to the flow direction of the refrigerant in the heat exchanger tubes. 1. A heat exchanger characterized in that the distribution portion of the U-shaped tube is alternately arranged so that the connecting direction to the flat heat exchanger tube is the same direction as the flow direction of the heat source side fluid and the opposite direction as appropriate.
