FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a relay showing an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, a circuit is connected such that a DC voltage is applied from a power source 2 to a pair of fixed electrodes 1a and 1b via a switch 6. The fixed electrodes 1a and 1b are arc-shaped, and a cylindrical rotor 4 is rotatably provided between the two electrodes. Furthermore, electrets 5a and 5b made of, for example, polytetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropyrene copolymer are attached to the peripheral end of the rotor 4 so as to be able to face the fixed electrodes 1a and 1b.

The electrets 5a and 5b are formed into an approximately four-section arc shape that is concentric with the arc of the fixed electrode, and are arranged approximately symmetrically with respect to the center of the rotor 4 as a base point.

In this case, the electrets 5a and 5b each have a charge different in electric polarity from the opposing fixed electrodes 1a and 1b on their surfaces. The rotor 4 is provided with a movable contact piece 6 having a movable contact 6b attached to the tip of a needle 6a that rotates integrally with the rotation of the rotor 4. Note that 7 is a spring for returning the rotor 4.

8 and 9 are fixed contact electrodes, 10 is a common electrode, and 11 is a power source for driving the load circuit.

Now, when the switch 6 is closed, the DC voltage from the power supply 2 is applied to the fixed electrodes 1a and 1b, and the fixed electrode 1a becomes + (plus) and the fixed voltage becomes - (minus). On the other hand, the electrets 5a and 5b Fixed electrode 1a facing the surface
Since the fixed electrode 1a and the electret 5a and the fixed electrode 1b and the electret 5b are charged with an electric charge different from that of the electric polarity of the electret 1b, the fixed electrode 1a and the electret 5b attract each other by electrostatic force, and the electret is urged in the direction of the arrow, and the rotor 4 is Rotate.

As a result, the movable contact 6b of the movable contact piece 6 separates from the fixed electrode 8 and comes into contact with the other fixed contact 9.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, a return spring is used to return the rotor 4 to its original position, but as shown in FIG. A weight 12 for vibration/shock prevention may be attached to the opposite end. By providing this weight 12, the rotor 4 returns to its original position due to the gravity of the weight 12 when the switch B is turned off.

In addition, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the movable contact piece is shaped like a needle, and the movable contact attached to the tip of the movable contact piece contacts and separates from an external fixed contact, but the movable contact piece is rotated integrally with the rotor. As shown in Fig. 3, a movable contact piece is attached to the lower end of the rotor 4.
13, fixed electrodes 1a and 1b are implanted in a base body 14, and fixed contacts 15a and 15b are installed at the bottom of this base body. The movable contact piece 13 is rotated integrally with the rotation of the rotor 4/ to form the fixed contacts. 15a and 15b may be brought into contact with and separated from each other.

Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the pair of electrets is charged with a charge different from the electric charge applied to the opposing fixed electrodes, and the rotor is rotated using electrostatic attractive force. The charges of the opposing fixed electrode and the electret may have the same polarity, and the rotor may be rotated by electrostatic repulsion.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the electrostatic force between the electric force applied to the fixed electrode and the charge held by the electret is used to connect and separate the contacts, it is not possible to flow current through the coil etc. Therefore, you can obtain a relay with low power consumption and low heat generation.
