Generally, woven or non-woven fabrics made of cotton, silk, synthetic fibers, etc. are used as the base fabric for the soft dome diaphragm of speakers. The base fabric is impregnated with a thermosetting resin such as phenolic resin, and then heated and pressed to form a dome shape. to make a diaphragm.

The diaphragm had a structure in which a viscoelastic resin, such as a silicone resin, was coated on the surface of the diaphragm in order to provide it with flexible elasticity, internal loss, and airtightness.

Generally, raw silk is spun by letting the silkworms rest four times, so there is a large variation in the thickness of the single fibers.

Furthermore, the composition of the raw silk woven into the fabric is not the same in terms of length and width, for example, the warp is 100 single fibers and the weft is 90.

Therefore, when this fabric is used as a base fabric and molded with a heating mold, the difference in longitudinal and lateral tensile strength causes deformation of the diaphragm.

Silk material is extremely soft and when molded into a soft dome diaphragm, the concentration of impregnated resin must be increased.

When the amount of impregnated resin is increased, silk loses its original elasticity,
The performance is almost the same as a diaphragm made of cotton or other material.

The present invention has been devised to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks and fully utilize the inherent characteristics of silk.

In the present invention, the silkworms are allowed to rest three times before being spun, so that the single silk fibers become extremely fine, uniform fibers and elastic fibers.

Only a small amount of the sericin content contained in this single fiber is removed, that is, it is refined to reduce the sericin content to 22%.
For example, 97 such single fibers are twisted to make one raw silk.

When the silk fabric produced by this method is used as a base fabric for a soft dome diaphragm, there is little variation in the thickness of the fabric because the single fibers are thin and uniform.

The weave is similar to that of conventional silk fabric, where the warp is made up of 100 single fibers and the weft is made up of 90 single fibers.
Although the weaving and weaving ratios are not the same, the silk fabric of the present invention has, for example, warp,

As mentioned above, the present invention consists of twisting single silk fibers made by letting silkworms rest three times and spinning them together in the vertical and horizontal directions, making them uniform fibers and giving them elasticity. The sericin is refined by removing only a small amount of its content, and the sericin is melted through a steam bath just before being woven into silk.
The base fabric of the soft dome diaphragm is made of silk fabric with a strong weave at the intersections of raw silk.

The base fabric of this invention has elasticity, so it only needs to be impregnated with a thin concentration of phenolic resin impregnating liquid. It does not lose the original elasticity of silk and is light in weight, so it can improve sound pressure and improve various acoustic properties. Therefore, we provide a high quality soft dome diaphragm.
