Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the installation space of an exclusive large- scale air tank through its saving and reduce the weight of a car body by airtightening the hollow section of its cross member and using the section as an air suspension car height adjusting air tank. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a hollow cross member 1 are closed airthightly and an airtight air tank is formed inside. An inlet and outlet port 9 is provided at the cross member 1 and piping 11 with a tank valve TV is connected to the inlet and outlet port 9. The piping 11 is connected to an air compressor 12, while it is connected to each of the front and rear air dampers 5F and 5R through the front valve FV, rear valve RV, and piping 13 or 14. When car height is decreased, each of the valves TV, FV, and RV is opened by the signal of a car height sensor and the air within the cross member 1 is supplied to each air damper, thereby increasing car height. れ、例えば各エアダンパのエア圧が下り車高が下ると図
示しない車高センサ等の信号によりタンクパルプTVが
開くと同時にフロントパルプFV又はりャバルブRV或
はその双方が開き、クロスメンバ1内に貯えられていた
エアが所定のエアダンパ内に供給されて車高を上げ、又
車高を下げるべき信号が発せられるとフロントパルプF
V又はりャバルブRV或はその双方が開くと同時に排気
弁EVが開きエアダンパ内のエアを外部に排出して車高
を下げるようKなっている。
