Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a roll having an elaborate pattern thereon, by winding a rubber element on a cylindrical core mold having a prescribed pattern embossed thereon, vulcanizing the rubber element, removing the thus formed tube while being turned inside out, and covering another core with the tube. CONSTITUTION:The rubber element is wound on the mold 4 having ridges 5, and is vulcanized. The thus vulcanized and molded rubber tube 6 is removed to be turned inside out. The rubber tube 6 is put on the other core 7 of a rubber substrate separately molded. In this covering procedure, a double adhesive tape 8 is wound on the core 7 of a rubber substrate, then after washing the surface thereof with kerosine to reduce the stickness on the surface, the core 7 is covered with the rubber tube 6. By hardening the adhesive layer 8, the rubber tube 6 and the core 7 are bonded firmly with each other.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a roll-like rubber molded article, particularly a molded article having a seamless pattern layer on its surface. For example, a rubber row A/ with multiple rows of concave grooves parallel to the axis on one side uses a two-split mold with protrusions corresponding to the concave grooves formed on the inner surface, and the recess of the limb mold is used. It can be manufactured by filling an unvulcanized rubber material inside and then pressurizing and vulcanizing it. However, the surface of the tacomrow made by this method has the above-mentioned grooves. Fine protrusions called "paris" that correspond to the interface surfaces where each half of the two-split mold joins are also always formed. This "Paris"
If the use is undesirable. Naturally, this must be removed using puff ink, but in many cases it is impossible to remove only the "paris" without damaging the main pattern part. In order to avoid the above-mentioned inconvenience, the mold can be made into a cylindrical mold that is not a split type, but in the case of a small-diameter cylindrical mold, it is difficult to engrave a pattern on its inner surface. is completely impossible. As mentioned above, the present invention provides an appropriate solution to the difficult problems encountered when forming a seamless pattern layer on the surface of a roll-like rubber molded product. A tubular pattern layer is formed using a cylindrical or cylindrical mold engraved with the mold, and then this layer is covered on a rubber or metal core molded separately from the layer to form an integral part. It consists in joining. EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION Below, the case where this invention is applied to the manufacture of the paper feed roll shown as an example in an accompanying drawing is demonstrated. As shown in Fig. 1, the paper feed o-A/, which is the object of this example, has a plurality of fine recesses 11 (2...) parallel to the axis line at equal intervals on the surface of rubber chiro A/(11). The arc surface C3...) between the grooves is required to be a strictly smooth surface, and the depth of the groove (2) must also strictly comply with the standard. something is required. Therefore, on the layer 11(2) and the arcuate surface (31, the above-mentioned "Paris")
The formation of this material must be avoided. The present method applied to the production of such paper feed rolls first involves forming concave grooves on the surface of the roll (1) as shown in Figure 2.

) A rubber tube (6) having a concave groove (2) on its inner surface is made using a core mold (4) formed with a protrusion (5) corresponding to the ridge (5).
(see Figure 3). The actual molding method is
After wrapping an unvulcanized rubber sheet around the surface of the core mold (4), the outer periphery of the unvulcanized rubber sheet is further wrapped with a tape-like cloth material and then heated and vulcanized. Vulcanization molding is carried out using any omniscient vulcanization equipment, such as vulcanization molding using a rubber press-in molding equipment using the core mold (4) as a core. In any case, in the method of this example, since it is sufficient to carve the core mold (the desired pattern C protrusion on the surface of 41), it is possible to carve a precise pattern with great precision. Next, the rubber tube (6) formed on the core mold (41)
) is peeled off from the mold (4) with its front and back sides turned over from one end, as shown in FIG. The rubber tube (61) thus formed corresponds to the pattern forming part of the rubber row A/(1) shown by the dotted line in FIG. Before this, a double-sided adhesive tape (81) is wound and adhered to the surface of the base (7) as shown in FIG. 4.
8) is a type in which a porous base fabric such as paper or nonwoven fabric that allows the adhesive solution to penetrate into the body is impregnated with an adhesive, and an adhesive layer is formed on both sides of the base fabric. Those are preferably used for the purpose of the present invention. When the adhesive layer is simply formed on the surface of the base fabric, when the rubber tube (6) described later is fitted, the adhesive layer is formed on the tube (6).
6) is not suitable as it will result in peeling due to sliding contact. The double-sided adhesive tape (8) wound and pasted on the surface of the rubber substrate (n) as described above is then coated with a volatile solvent 1, such as kerosene, which has low lubricity to rubber, to reduce the surface tackiness. After weighing, the rubber substrate (7
As shown in FIG. 4, one open end of the rubber tube (6) is fitted onto the rubber base (7) on the outer periphery of the rubber tube (6), and then the rubber tube (6) is gradually fitted onto the outer part of the base [7]. In this way, as the adhesive layer (8) dries and hardens, the two members (61 and (7)) are firmly connected, and the paper feed rope P having the seamless pattern layer shown in FIG. 1 on its surface is completed. As detailed in 1, the present invention forms the surface pattern portion of a roll-like rubber molded product by using a core mold having pattern-forming grooves or protrusions formed on the surface to form the carvings of a rubber tube. In one or more embodiments, the core body was composed of the rubber base (7), which was able to create a seamless and elaborate pattern on the surface of the molded product. It is also possible to use a substrate made of gold. Also, the present method described in connection with the production of new rolls can also be applied to the reprocessing of roll-like molded products whose surface pattern portions have been worn and damaged. .
