うに配置されている。放電は被加工体表面で発生し、当
然このスプラッシュガードの内部で発生するのであるか
らこのスプラッシュガードを電磁遮蔽装置の支持体とし

記のとおり、放電はスプラッシュガードS内部で発生す
るからこのスプラッシ、ガードtK電磁遮蔽機能を与え
てありので、遮蔽機能は十分である。又、スプラッシュ
ガードはその本来的機能として被加工体の着脱は勿論1
作業性を極力阻害しない構造とされているので、この電
磁遮蔽装置の附加により作業性が阻害されるおそれはす
くない、又、電磁遮蔽装置は金網等をもりて構成するこ
とが現実的であるから、その遮蔽性能を向上しようとす
れば、透明性を阻害することはやむを得ないが、実験の
結果によれば太さ0、!m+程度の銅線を使用し、メッ
クs−10程度の金網としてなした場合は実質的に透明
性を阻害することなく電磁遮蔽効果は実質的に十分であ
