Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 被転写媒体を搬送する搬送路の中途部に設けられ、被転
    写媒体に対して転写像を与える転写体を有する画像形成
    装置において、前記転写体の手前の搬送路近傍に設けら
    れ所定周波数の超音波を発振する超音波送信器およびそ
    の超音波を受信する超音波受信器から構成され、前記被
    転写媒体を検知する第１の超音波検知器と、前記転写体
    の後の搬送路近傍に設けられ所定周波数の超音波を発振
    する超音波送信器およびその超音波を受信する超音波受
    信器から構成され、前記被転写媒体を検知する第２の超
    音波検知器と、前記第１の超音波検知器により被転写媒
    体の前端が検知されたとき転写制御を開始し、第２の超
    音波検知器により被転写媒体の後端が検知されたとき転
    写制御を終了する制御手段とを具備したことを特徴とす
    る画像形成装置。
