In general, there are many cases in which a member must have holes of a predetermined shape drilled in a predetermined position suitable for its use, and punching using a punch is widely practiced for drilling the holes.

Punching holes using such a punch has the advantage of being able to form holes in a desired shape in a single punching process, but it is difficult to attach a sash crescent to a predetermined position of an aluminum sash frame material, for example. If it is difficult to apply the die to the back side of the member to be drilled, such as when drilling holes or screw holes, apply the die only to the surface of the member to be drilled. A drilling method is employed in which the punch is moved toward the member along the inner hole of the die to perform the drilling.

However, such a drilling method is different from a method in which the punch is moved while firmly holding both sides of the member to be drilled, excluding the movement path of the punch, near the drilling position of the member to be drilled. Since the die is in contact with only one side of the member to be punched, if the punch is moved toward the member along the inner hole of the die to perform the perforation, the area near the perforation will be in the direction of movement of the punch, that is, the member. There was a drawback in that a protruding and deformed sag occurred on the back side of the product, significantly reducing its commercial value.

As a result of intensive research into a method of drilling by contacting the die only on one side of the member to be drilled without causing such sagging, the inventor of the present invention found that the outer circumferential shape of the drilling punch was determined by the shape of the hole to be drilled. A slightly smaller part should be located at the tip, and a part with the same size as the shape of the hole to be drilled should be located closer to the base than the tip. It has a structure that allows the outer shape to be reduced and automatically restores the initial blade shape due to elasticity when no load is applied. First, a hole smaller than the desired shape is drilled at the tip, and a hole with the desired shape at the base is punched. It was discovered that if the hole is drilled while correcting the sagging at the desired shape of the root portion, which is reduced in size on the outward pass and returned to the desired shape on the return pass, it is possible to drill the hole in the desired shape without causing any sag. Thus, a drilling punch according to the present invention was completed.

In the drawing, 1 is a punch body, 2 is provided at the tip of the punch body 1, and has an outer shape smaller than the shape of the hole to be drilled, and the punch body 1 is moved toward the member to be punched. The forward punching blade part 3, which first hits the member to be punched and performs the drilling, is a part of the forward punching blade part 2 of the punch body 1 from the base end thereof until its outer shape is the same size as the shape of the hole to be punched. A tapered part 4 for gradually making a large change is provided at the end of the tapered part of the punch body 1, and is used to punch a member to a desired size and shape in the outward path of the punch body 1. The forward punching blade portion 5 having the same outer shape as the hole shape to be punched is a slot formed in a slit shape from the tip to the base of the punch body 1 from the outer periphery to the center of the punch.

As shown in the figure, this groove 5 includes the forward punching blade portion 2, the tapered portion 3,
The outgoing punching blade part 4 is divided into sections, each of which cuts further toward the return path side than the outgoing punching blade part 4, so that its outer shape can be reduced and the blade is automatically restored to its initial blade shape by elasticity when no load is applied. Because it is a punch, it communicates from the outer periphery to the center of the punch, and the punching blade parts 2 and 4 are connected to each other.
and the tapered portion 3 have their cross sections completely aligned with this groove 5.

First, as shown in FIG. 6A, the member 7 and the die 6 are placed in a predetermined position of a press machine or the like so that the position of the member 7 to be perforated matches the inner hole of the die 6, and then the die 6 is inserted.
is fixed, and the punch body 1 is set so that the punch can move along the inner hole of the die 6.

Next, when the punch body 1 is passed through the inner hole of the die 6 and moved toward the member 7, the outward punching blade portion 2 at the tip of the punch body 1 finally punches the hole without reducing its outer shape. A hole smaller than the required hole is drilled as shown in FIG. 6B, and the punched member 8 falls.

Thus, when the punch body 1 is further moved in the direction of the member 7, the tapered part 3 moves along the hole punched by the outward punching blade part 2, and as a result, the tip side of the punch body 1 moves along the end face of the punched hole. (Thus, it is pressed inward and its outer circumference is reduced so that its outer surface becomes the same size as the drilled hole.

This state is the state shown in FIG. 6C. The reason why the outer periphery of the punch body 1 can be reduced in this way is that since the punch body 1 is provided with the groove 5, there is room to reduce the outer circumference inward by the size of the groove 5.

When the return punching blade 4 of the punch body 1 is moved until it passes through the hole of the member T to be punched, the tip of the punch body 1 passes through the hole of the member 7, as shown in Figure 6. Since there is no longer anything in contact with the hole, the material returns to its original shape due to its elasticity.

Then, when the punch body 1 is pulled out from the member 7 to be punched, the outer shape of the forward punching blade part 4, which has returned to the state shown in the sixth drawing, is smaller than the hole punched by the forward punching blade part 2. Since it is large, the hole in the member 7 that was bored by the forward punching blade 2 is pulled back upwards, and only the portion that is in contact with the surface of the forward punching blade 4 is shown in FIG. 6E. In this way, the punched member 9 accumulates on the punching blade portion 4 on the return trip and is punched out.

As a result of this punching and punching by the return punching blade section 4, the member that had previously sagged downward is pulled up and tries to sag upward, but the die 6 comes into contact with the upper surface of the member 7 to be punched. Because it is tightened, it cannot sag, and after all, good punching and drilling without sagging can be performed.

When performing the above-mentioned drilling, the member 7 in the part where the groove 5 moves is used with a punch as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
Since the blade part does not exist, it is torn off without being cut, resulting in a somewhat poor shape, but as shown in FIGS. 3, 4, and 5, the forward and return punching blade parts 2 and 4 A certain part of the blade surface is shaped like a cylindrical part with a helical part.

That is, if the groove 5 has a helical shape on the outer periphery, the blade will not hit and be cut, so the hole will be reliably drilled and the shape of the hole will be good.

The punch according to the present invention as described in detail above has a blade portion smaller than the predetermined shape at the tip and a blade portion smaller than the predetermined shape on the base side in order to punch a hole smaller than a predetermined shape on the forward pass and a hole with a predetermined shape on the return pass. A blade portion with a predetermined shape is provided, and the two blade portions are connected by a tapered portion, and the two blade portions and the tapered portion can respectively reduce their external shapes, and when no load is applied, the elasticity automatically restores the initial blade shape. Since it has a simple shape with a groove extending from the outer periphery to the center so as to restore the original shape, it can be easily manufactured. If the punch according to the present invention is used, the reduced blade shape can be restored to the initial blade shape. Since it has a very simple structure that does not require any special complicated structure, it is possible to make holes with a good shape without sagging very simply and easily by simply moving the punch up and down. When attempting to drill a hole, there was no other way than drilling, but compared to drilling, it is possible to drill in a much shorter time, without deburring, and without using cutting oil, which is impossible with drilling. Holes of various shapes can be drilled well, and its industrial value is extremely large.
